Should gt6 be free?

This has been pondering my brain for a while now. Do to the fact that we spent money on an incomplete game which was extremely away from kaz's principles do to him wanting gt5 to be perfect but was forced to release it no where near his expectations. The people who have bought gt5 should atleast get gt6 for free or at some kind of discount. Its hard to see it be free I know but a discount seems more reasonable dont any of u think?
 
If GT6 were free, Polyphony Digital would suffer bankruptcy. Not a great idea. The game is fine, it may be incomplete but it's best to play with what you have.
 
I don't think a free game is reasonable at all. What would be reasonable if when we popped GT6 into our PS3, it would detect the GT5 gamesave and give you a gift like a free car or some money. Similar to what GT4 did where you could take up to 100,000 credits from GT3 and use them in GT4.

Come on man... You are talking like GT5 is the worst game on Ps3 and players who bought it must be refunded... It's not like that at all. Even if incomplete, bugged and any sort of thing, this is the only game capable to make me play for hours even after 9 months... And tell me, would you like to work for free? I don't think you would, and neither PD would of course.
 
That's funny - GT5 was incomplete, so how better to encourage them to do better on GT6 than the thought of instead of making millions of dollars selling it, they could give away free copies?

When you consider Sky charges the best part of 40 quid a month for it's offer, I'm sure most of us have had more than our money's worth of entertainment out of GT5. In fact, I think it's saved me money, since most of the publicans in the area have assumed over the last 8 months that I've either got a new woman or have been kidnapped by aliens!
 
No... flat out. If anyone wants GT6 to be free because of any flaws or issues with GT5, then they need to sell their current copy. Better yet... just be thankful we're getting a boat load of content for free. Just look at the numerous patches, seasonal events, and even this next event with David Coulthard. My strong personal opinion is that anyone thinking what the OP is thinking should either let it go, or keep it to themselves. It makes a person seem ungrateful.

Even if they don't complete the game with updates, it's just stupid to say that GT6 should be free... F1 2010 has several bugs that makes the game worse than it should be without these bugs, but I don't think Codemasters is going to sell F1 2011 for free.
 
GT5 Spec II (or whatever PD will call the finished article) should be free, but what point would there be in giving away a whole new game for free? GT5 may have it's flaws, but it's still a good game and I wouldn't say it has any more glitches than other games. I just hope GT6 will be on the PS3, as I bought the playstation over an XBOX just because of GT.

No, it shouldn't. It should cost the price of new games at that time.

The GT5 forum is becoming more and more just a huge whine fest filled with entitled cry babies who think every other game is perfect, glitch free and KY and PD have purposely stolen our money and now they are laughing about it on a beach somewhere.

They gave us a decent/good game that has many issues, more content then most games but a small amount compared to GT4, and they are working to improve and add to it. Get over it.
 
Should GT6 be free? No. I paid $100 for my Collector's Edition of GT5, quite a few more dollars for my imported Signature Edition, and I'd say out of the hundreds of hours I've played the game I more than got my money's worth. I don't see how anybody here could honestly think they're entitled to a completely free game just because they were disappointed with the previous entry.

I do hope that GT6 will be like GT4 in that it can see if we have GT5 data and reward us with a few more starting credits. That is of course, if GT6 is on the PS3, which I sincerely hope it is.

I think we have a winner of the most ridiculous post award, although it just edges out the never ending "wish lists for patch (insert # here).

Why do you complain so much about a game you are still playing after almost a year??

And also to say the GT5 Spec II should be free, it is and will be, just keep downloading the patches.

At the end of the day we get the game that the developers want to give us, not necessarily what we think it should be or want. If we dont like it, don't buy it, it is afterall a very simple concept!
 
I read a lot of posts stating GT5 is incomplete. Could be, like any other game maybe. But given the hours the most of us put in GT5 is worth it. More than worth it. GT6 should not be free, it`s crazy to go there. I`m not a real gamer, i have not played a lot of games but i`m totally hooked on GT5. That`s because it`s so friggin` good. People want it to be better mainly because they want to be remembered to that (more) hooked feeling they once had.

I posted a while ago that i was not hooked anymore, i was in denial.

GT6 should be at least 50 Euro`s, at least.
