If money is not an object, sure. Otherwise, hell no.I'm thinking of buying a ps4 just to play gt sport. I've seen reviews of the game that say it is great.
I would like other people's opinions
Do you have any way of trying it out first?
I mean, that's a big investment. I can tell you that I bought one just for GT Sport and I don't regret it. I have been playing it daily ever since. In fact, I ended up upgrading to a PS4 Pro. See if you can find someone who has a PS4 and pick up a used copy of the game to try on their machine. Just in case you don't like it.
Best of luck and let us know how you make out.
BTW, I also bought a Thrustmaster T300 RS but I am a racing game/sim addict.![]()
I have AC and one other game. Downloaded AC, and never have even unwrapped the other game. No clue why I thought I would ever want to play anything but GTS.Every PS that I have owned was purchased just for Gran Turismo and I have them all. I am actually considering trying P-Cars or Asetto Corsa is it?

Why anyone who is into nothing but racing games would buy a console is beyond my understanding.
You’re comparing a gaming console to a real car, are you? Great. In the grand scheme of things the total outlay for a console is pretty small, by comparison there are people who spend $75K on a car to drive back and forth to work every day.
After four years of play on PC, I'm bored to death. The claims of the computer simulators for realistic physics are larger than their actual capabilities, LFS is an exception.I’d get a PC. Sure, a bit more expensive perhaps, but a steal nonetheless compared to the $75 grand car in your comparison.

My point is that if I was into racing games and racing games alone, a console would be the last thing on my mind. I’d get a PC. Sure, a bit more expensive perhaps, but a steal nonetheless compared to the $75 grand car in your comparison.
The experience will definitely be far more felt and better if you have a wheel. It's nice to have it when you play racing games such as GT Sport. What I was comparing was the perception of squandering money as that seems the point you were attempting to make. When you add up the hours that most spend playing Gran Turismo even just playing that single title your cost per hour of entertainment is very low. For those of us who actually like racing games it is very easy to turn the game on and run a couple races when before you even realize you have just played for 2 hours. No matter the amount I spend on a real I will not get the same enjoyment of driving it because I must attempt to drive within the confines of the law. I suppose I could always go to local track days with a real car but then you had better be prepared to put tires and brakes on after a day of driving, after that we can start to discuss the real cost of entertainment.
I have one of those too.a selfie with Kaz.
