Pre ordered Roadcraft. Put around 300hrs into Snowrunner and this looks like it'll be a similar time sink.

Out with the old…

In with the new.

Koenig Hexaform replicas. Wanted white but only black was in stock. Gone from 15s to 17s and was worried about the change, but after the first drive there’s really little difference other than the speedo is off by a few more %, but I have 2 GPS units that I use for reading speed. Acceleration is slightly less, but I’m a hypermiler, not a drag racer.

Ride hight is a little higher, which doesn’t really concern me because I like the rally look, and anyway next on the shopping list is some new suspension which should drop me a few cm.

Tyres are some locally produced all weather rubber. Again, for hypermiling eco tyres are suitable. I just hope they survive an Italian tune-up.

Treated myself to a wheel upgrade from my old T300.. I didn't want to spend a grand on a DD wheel so after watching a few reviews and toss a coin between the T598 and the TGT 2.. This won for the pedals to be fair

Anyway... I love the feel of this wheel and looking forward to more GT play time again 👍

My step son is in his mountain bike phase and riding a hybrid commuter on trails is very hard work, so I've got myself a Trek Marlin to make my life easier.

Pretty happy with how it looks, especially since I added the pedals. Rides nicely too. Gearset is Shimano Cues, so broadly similar to the Acela on my Raleigh Strada.

I needed to put down fertilizer on the yard last week so I wore my rubber winter boots:

New winter boots that are "Used - like new" on Amazon for $50.12 instead of the full price of $162.64. Couldn't pass that up.

Since they were made to keep you warm down to -70F, they were a bit warm so I ordered some cheapie rubber shoes instead. Bonus, they were 40% off.

Steam collection pickups for the last 2 weeks or so.

Quite a few bundles, This months Choice Bundle was pretty good with quite a few games I was interested in Like Amnesia:The Bunker, Evil West, The Thoumaturge, Ultros and Corpse Keeper. Picked up quite a few quality bundles on fanatical from their Bundle fest going on right now. Finally my main individual pickups were probably Foundry, Shadowrun Trilogy and Timberborn that I've wanted for ages.

We weren't planning on buying a new vacuum today but our old trusty Shark died so after some looking, my wife decided on a Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal.

The amount of crap it pulled out of the carpet on the steps is incredible.

Dude, try it again with this nozzle at full throttle. It took dirt out of seats and carpets that I have never seen in my life.

Grabbed a handful of things over the last couple of months.

I really enjoyed the first AI Somnium Files game (and of course a new one was announced during the final Switch 1 Direct), so I picked up Nirvana Initiative not too long after beating the original title. I've also never had a Wipeout game, and after spending some time listening to the soundtrack, I knew I had to give it a proper shake.

With the Blu-Rays, I don't really watch as much anime nowadays as I used to, but Black Lagoon and Samurai Champloo hold special places in my heart, and I've been wanting to re-watch both series for a while now. I thinking of picking up the DVD/Blu-Ray sets for FMA and Cowboy Bebop later down the line, the latter of which serves as an excellent segue...

I'm not kidding when I say that the last 5 times I've visited one of my local record shops, I see L.A. Woman, pick it up, only to find 1-3 records that I want significantly more while shopping around, and end up putting it back. However, I finally was able to supress my lack of willpower enough to finally grab it, alongside the "Ein Edition" of the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack, in which the first vinyl is White and the second is the destinctive Corgi shade of Brown.

With these two, I've hit the 50 record mark, which also serves as a nice stopping point for now, as the record holder I bought this past October is officially full to capacity.

50 records is good...and oh boy am I a big cowboy bebop fanboy (actually wearing a cowboy bebop shirt as I type this)

47cm Weber Barbecue. Cast iron grill, brand new cover and a starter. All for low price of 30 Euros.

50 quality garden tiles for the backyard. 60x60cm. These were free. 3 years old, and they were destined for the dump. If I had to buy these it would been an easy 1000 Euros excluding shipping.

I have the exact same Weber BBQ, except with a stainless grill. It lives outside all year with no cover and still works a treat.

Prepare for disappointment. London is a ********.
To be fair, I’m not a huge fan of our capital, but I’m not big on cities full stop. Every city has its good and bad points and London is no exception in that regard.

@TB are you planning just hanging in the city or venturing a little further out? I can recommend Brooklands out towards Esher about a 40 to 50 min train out of the city.

For the time being, we're planning on sticking around the city.

"That trip you're looking forward to is going to suck. You should just cancel it."
That’s not what I meant, sorry if it came off that way. It’s just that expectations don’t meet reality in London.

If you’re in the city proper it’s ok for touristing.

Are you planning to do the Tower of London?

I didn't know skipping it was an option.

Yes, we'll be hitting the tourist trap stuff. If anyone has suggestions for slightly off the beaten path, I'm all ears!

I only said that as I’ve not been to London since I was a teen but it’s the one thing I’d go back for.
