Just ordered this off of Newegg

Asus 23" 1080P screen
24-236-059-TS

I will finally be able to enjoy my PS3 as Sony intended.

No, I have to get a couple other things sorted before I start buying stuff for my build. I will probably start buying that stuff sometime next month. The monitor is just an early b-day present for myself.

We are waiting for her real ring to come in. They had to size it down to 5 1/2 but this is the last thing I purchased.
This is not the actual pic of her ring but its very similar.

Bought this from Moosejaw, I had a $50 gift card and a 15% off coupon so it was pretty resonable. I need something to replace my ageing light weight TNF fleece and since I'm in love with Arc'Teryx products I went for the Strato Jacket. It, in theory, should be here tomorrow since it's only being shipped from Madison Heights which is just down the road.

And since my Moosejaw hat finally needed to be retired I got the Canada Eh? Arc'Teryx Flex Fit hat. I just thought it looked cool.

Not a bad deal for $17 + shipping.

Congrats on proposing!

Looks quite glarey to me...
That would be the camera along with Apple not simply calling it matte. Looks just like any other matte screen in real life, unlike the MBPs with the glass screens, which are basically mirrors.

It's not anti-glare, it just diffuses the glare. Don't you love marketing teams?

My MacBook Pro "antiglare" & MacBook Glass. This is what it's like sitting in front of a window, it's a million times worse outside, sometimes can't see a thing on the glass, even on full brightness.

How many frigging MacBooks have you bought now?! Y'know, if you're gentle, they can last more than 3 months ;)

Three. Although I gave one to my mam, & I'm selling the MacBook. Finally figured if I got a top line one I wouldn't keep buying, especially as allot of people seem to be selling to make way for these i7 ones that are meant to come out soon, seemed like a good time to snap up a deal. This thing is almost unused (17 battery cycles, no scratches) & I got it for £1300 as against the same configuration £2280 from the apple store.

The 13" MacBook was a new record in terms of the time I've owned a computer though, about a month? Got sick of the crappy small screen (not just small, was very washed out & had no good viewing angles) & the fact if I took it outside, you may as well not have a screen at all.

I'm not sure any computer from any company is worth that much money, so I have to disagree on the "deal" part. They're great pieces of kit that's for sure, but I'm one of those stubborn Windows guys that can't see paying for it, lol.

I have that shirt. I wore it to the Mid-Ohio ALMS race and got a bunch of comments on it. Even the Rahal BMW team talked about it, it was pretty cool. But wearing it anywhere else I'm not sure how many people understand

Actually that's quite useful to know, I'll avoid the 13 incher when it's time to upgrade then 👍

Although I find it extremely cheeky that Apple now charge £41 for a non-glossy screen when 2 years ago (ie when I bought this) it was a free option between the two. Tsk...

You've got that right, suppose I can understand it being slightly more as it doesn't seem to be a standard option, doesn't have an icon on OS X & the picture on the box is of the glass model, I think they just put the option in at the last minute to please more customers & rushed it. £40 is far to much, especially as it's only $30 in America, along with everything else in the apple store.

As for the 13", most of the screens on the 13" MacBook Pro are far better than on the late '08 Aluminum MacBook, just avoid the 9C9E LCD. As for the glass, there is a very effective antiglare skin type thing available as there is not yet an antiglare option for the 13", but apparently it's a grease magnet.

How long does it take them to get stuff shipped? Seeing as im some distance away, 14 business days was their maximum.
