I posted about this on Bluesky. I mentioned that it didn’t have a dust jacket, and the publisher saw it. The retail version I bought did not come with a dust jacket, but they had some leftovers from the Kickstarter campaign, and they offered to send me one. Only cost me a buck eighty. So the book has had an upgrade.I just got this in the mail today. She-Wolf by E.K. O’Connor. It’s a sapphic retelling of the Old English epic Beowolf.

I wouldn’t sweat it, your copy of Hot Shots 2 looks great from here!Granted, the holy grail isn’t in the best shape with a water-damaged manual, but I will never get over the catharsis of catching it in the wild. No eBay here!
Paul Weller and Gerry Anderson Supermarionation? Nice. From 18th May I'm retired/unemployed so this is probably one of my last purchases for a while

No. Don't do it!Oh, they knew exactly what they were doing with that.
I feel your pain. I wish I played the Lego games because I'd be all over this.
...Come to think of it, I have a free Lego game from way back. Hilariously enough, I genuinely think it's a Batman game. Maybe it's time I turn it on and see if it consumes me.![]()
I’ve got the BoC album on pre-order too. You purchased it on wax or digital? Some music purchases for my library through Bandcamp. Boards of Canada's new album which I'm hyped for, coming out May 28, Simon Meny (from Paradis which they stopped making music in 2017), and a collection of Goon Trax, Hidout Productions and other Japanese hip-hop and underground conscious rappers from 2013.
What's sad is that the collection has a PDF with links asking the purchaser to support the artists that made the collection possible, but most of the links lead to websites that have had their domains purchased by random companies and individuals. The social media links are mostly dead ends as well.
It makes me wonder what the future of digital music preservation will look like when so many artists just disappear into their personal lives and companies keep the music in their collections. Makes me love Bandcamp even more.

Just the digital. The ship dates for the wax version were so far out I couldn't really justify it. I know resellers are going to charge a arm and a leg for them.I’ve got the BoC album on pre-order too. You purchased it on wax or digital?
I’m staying away from the released tracks. I’m waiting on the wax to drop and then will spend a night in the dark with a cup of tea and sit and absorb it.Just the digital. Have you given Prophecy At 1420 MHz a listen?
That's fair. I did consider that perspective when I listened to the first track. I'll hold my impressions until the release date; I'd love to share some thoughts in the audiophile thread when the album is out.I’m staying away from the released tracks. New purchases dropped today.
The final J-Jazz compilation from BBE Records (I still need to pick up Vol. 4).
Also the latest issue of Jazz Kissa from KAT aka Katsumasa. A fantastic series, part Photo book / Photo essay and part guide of Japans Jazz Cafes and Listening Spaces.
