Our school has bought mac labs. They are going to end up with about 40, that is around 80 000AUD. I am not sure how big they are yet as I haven't seen the first batch (there is 20 at the moment) but I would imagine they are either top of the line or the model before that. We will be using them for things like music, social studies (dont know why), art and stuff like that. They say that they bought them so that when we leave school we can have a basic understanding of Mac and PC (PC's are upgrading from XP to 7 shortly).

(Hell, they're covered just taking them out of the box).

Apple products love fingerprints more than anything else. I want to buy myself an iPhone as my dad has one and they are brilliant, but I'm not sold yet. I hate how my friend does not care for his HTC touchscreen and just swipes his fingers all accross the screen and you can just see the grease leaving their marks :yuck:

That iPhone better come with some sort of protection or I'll find myself cleaning the screen more often than I use the phone...

The GS comes with an oleophobic screen, and although it of course can't completely repel grease it does work quite well. Also when the screen is on it's so bright that you can't see any grease marks.

But seriously, I'm a huge fingerprintphobe, and yet with my iPhone all I have to do is give the screen a quick wipe against my jeans once a day.

With my phone (cheap touch screen LG) I just have to wipe it with my shirt once a day. It doesnt really get finger prints on it but my friends iPhone does tend to get alot after playing games. Just grab your shirt and wipe it on that, gets rid of the nicely.

Awesome, but why the giant hard drives? Not using a file server?

We have ridiculously large file servers. But this is what happens when people have more money than sense (although the 27" comes standard with 1TB). They originally wanted to have magic mice too, until I had to explain to them they'd all go missing within 34 minutes. A lot of their stuff is also Firewire 400 which now they won't be able to use but they seem to think that using some voodoo magic that they can...

^ though late, what a great game! just semi disappointed that the main story was a little short

Maybe if you rush through the storyline, took me ages as I was too busy pick pocketing and robbing everyone blind. :p

(oh aswell as side quests, aka treasure hunts)

I use to be like you when I first got an iPod touch. And then I stopped caring and just left it naked because it was easier to pocket and a quick wipe on my jeans solved the fingerprints. My only real grip was their insistence on the polished chromey finish on the back... gets scratched no matter how hard you try.

Wow that is a smoking good deal. I've got the same stuff, but my monthly rate is higher. And I had to pay for my phone, but I do get a rebate whenever att get's around to sending it.

The GS is the newest and most expensive one, right? I was thinking of getting the basic one, but I read the 3G version is a lot better. I've also seen the iPhone White on sale which I thought looked pretty smooth with the white cap at the back instead of the black or chrome. If possible I'd like to avoid the chrome on the back for reasons Azure mentioned; It gets scratched like hell, no matter what.

I've just ordered a Blackberry Bold 9700. Got a great deal at £20 a month, free phone, 600 mins, ultd text/internet/email.

Mrs Scaff is looking for one and that is a great deal, may I inquire as to who that is with?

Currently the cheap 8GB iPhone is just a 3G. Anything higher than that gets you a 3GS, which is much faster, has a better camera, and records video. I'm actually not sure white is still available. It was available just on the 16GB 3G.

Looks like white is still available, only on the 3GS now.

Hmm, I'm not bothered by video and camera. The main reason I wanted to go for the better model is because iPhone reviews said the later models had better voice quality when calling someone, something the original model apparently lacked.

In that case, how about $150 for a 16GB iPhone 3G in pretty good condition in about July or so? :sly:

Chrome on the back is iPod touch; the iPhone 3G and 3GS all have plastic backs. And yeah, I have the white one and it looks great. :)

I love it! It's expensive but I needed a new mouse anyway.
And now load it up with custom gestures by using this: http://blog.boastr.net/ 👍

Sorry for the dodgy quality as they were taken on a camera phone.

I had a look around but I can't seem to find anything genuinely useful on there...Nothing that I need, anyway. Thanks for the link though.

Asolo TPS 520 GV Boots, needed to replace my ageing Columbia's and since I was doing some hiking this weekend. These thing are awesome and I love them. I should have bought leather boots ages ago.

And from Michigan's wine country:

A 2007 Riesling Ice Wine from Leelanau Cellars, as well as a spiced wine called Witch Brew which is supposed to be served warm. Along with the from Blackstar Farms a cherry wine and a sparkling cider then make there which was awesome.

This sub is just TOO nice. I mustve had 5 of these in the past 10 days

Gotta love Subway 👍 When I was in Ireland last year we visited Subways all around in Ireland nearly everyday. On a side note though, I've never visited such great pubs as in Ireland The atmosphere with all the happy and friendly people and the Irish music is just fantastic!

I wasn't aware the US exported so many of our crappy fast food restaurants to so many countries.

Maybe their Subway is actually good. Kind of like how Pizza Hut works over there.

Subway stateside is awful. Although I had a sub in Orlando that wasn't half bad. The one next to my house is like a little pathetic bread tube that looks like it belongs with a roll of paper towels, stuffed with a few pieces of chicken and a meager portion of lettuce.

If you guys are ever in Florida, PM me and I will take you to La Spada. My treat.

I really like both Subway and Pizza Hut over here. Don't know if it's better than yours or my standards are lower.
