the blue car at 1:07, the dude picking up the tail light, and then the blue car again at 2:02 is my mate from australia.. :) those guys were there for a drift matsuri a few months back.. iv got my dollars saved and am going next year..

and yeah, those cars without fronts are called drift missiles, you buy them for like 1000 aud, you drive them hard, you crash them, you drive them more, then you sell them for scrap metal for like 200 bucks and you go home again.. sounds like GREAT FUN!!

Not contradicting you but there not always missiles, sometimes the bumper cable ties have just snapped so it's not worth putting it back on until the end of the day (as you probably already know).

true, but those particular photos from the first page are definately missile cars, as the condition that those cars are in would not be allowed at most drift days.. as crazy as it looks to some, the Japanese actually are pretty strict in regards to car condition, even when drifting..

The first pictures definitely look like missiles, over here regulations aren't too bad, as long as you have a seatbelt and no leaking fluids then you're good to go.

HE1RO's guide to making easy Wall of Death pics without trying.

1.Run at a wall sliding at full speed making as much smoke as possible.
2.Hit wall with the rear of the car.
3.(The tricky part) go into photo mode and keep doing "pause, play, pause play" until you get the car as close as possible to said wall.
4.Take picture.
5.I dont know, i didnt want to end on an even number.

heres few of my wall of death pics:

Not to Dis you SeanWelland but if you would up your shutter speed when using the camera you would have a better image at high speeds

I'll be right back with pics,
Here is a haiku about what I will be posting.

Having a higher shutter speed setting wouldn't make the image "better". It would just make the car look as if it was sitting parked against the wall. With the low shutter speed of 1/60 and focus on the car (with Mode 3 set as Panning) it gives the background the blurred motion, to emphasise speed. If you look at the second picture you can see a form of circular motion from around the car, this was because i paused the replay right at the moment the car hit the wall, forcing it to spin round to the left rather than continue on straight.

If a picture is bad, it is so simply because it is just a bad picture. Not because i don't know what i'm doing. I'm an amateur photographer irl. :dunce:

This guy is a legend...

I've not yet taken
any pictures of said wallrun
I'll try after school

The interesting about these pictures is that the tire skids tells if the car will slam the wall or not.

Nice pictures in here :D

Since this thread was brought back up, here's my best wall ride of death.

Why don't people just post these in Show Your Drift Cars? o.o

They're all the same anyway, plus that thread is far more active now...

I don't understand some of the hate in this thread...why not have 2 photo threads? Does it really hurt anyone?

I think the pics in this thread are great, and you guys ahve inspired me to go out and practice more and get some pics. Keep up the good work!
