i grew up in the 80's and i can say i havnt heard of any of those other than transformers. But my Canadian tv shows would definatly be different than the ones you have listed. I grew up on a lot of Bugs Bunny,Inspector Gadget,Fred Penner, Teddy Ruxpen, and a whole bunch of other garbage.

Well, I use to watch Scoobie Doo and Looney toons(Road runner was the bomb), but then I would watch Rescue 911, Unsolved Mysteries(we use to call it Unsolved Miseries), the Today Show, ohh and The Price is Right before I left for kindergarden(my school district has 3 sessions, AM, PM, or full day, and I went for the PM, so I would watch TPIR while having hot dogs).

I guess I was more advanced than most kids...

Let's chalk up one vote for Robotech. I used to love those cartoons. Now I'm trying to find them on DVD. Just recently released.

Can remember the Dukes of Hazzard. So many good TV shows. How many of you had fantasies about Alyssa Milano from "Who's the Boss"?

I never really watched that much TV as a kid. And it certainly wasn't in the 80s, anyway. Here's the animated stuff:

Childhood - SPEED RACER! Also Ultraman (live action), Tobor the 8 Man, and Marine Boy. Outside the anime genre I liked older Bugs Bunny 'toons, but not newer ones.

Teenage years - STAR BLAZERS! I was never a Robotech, He-man, or Thundercats fan. But we would cut school at lunchtime to go watch Star Blazers and the latest exploits of the Space Battleship Yamato.

College - DANGER MOUSE! Never missed a chance to watch DM and Penfold save the world from baron Greenback. undoubtedly the best British cartoon series I've seen. Fortunately these are available on video now because I was in withdrawal for a while.

Adulthood - INVADER ZIM! Probably the funniest and visually coolest cartoon made in the last 10 years. Spongebob runs second to Zim but is funny as well.

I've also, obviously, been watching the Simpsons for the last 20 years or however long it's been on. I remember seeing the first real-time broadcasts when they were a spot on The Tracy Ullmann Show. We'd been big fans of Groening's Life In Hell comic strip well before he made the transition to TV.

Another vote for Robotech.
Transformers, GI Joe, and Robotech! Robotech was by far my favorite!
I got some episodes of Robotech on DVD from Amazon.com afew months back!

I always loved transformers. Still do. When i was in jr high it came on early in the morning on the sci fi channel....loved that. And of course looney toons. I also enjoyed rescue 911...especially when people died...cuz i was always suspicious about weather or not they were real...and when ppl died, it renewed my faith that it was real.

CHiPs!!!

I use to watch CHiPs all the time...the chases, the explosions, that show was AWSOME...

You know, they had the 2 bikes on a trailer for the strait shots(like when they are just riding not chasing)...that's why they were so parallel...

Forgot about CHiPs on my first post...it was one of my favorite shows.

currently at lunch time I watch the Nanny...really funny...

Still watch The Price Is Right...I love guessing the prices of stuff...and I get pissed when someone totally screws up. Today, this hillbilly twit was playing that game where you win a car by changing the numbers in the price with the numbers above, and this guy got all of them right except 1, and then, as the whole audiance is yelling "8!!" he takes the 0 and put it there...I was yelling "You idiot!" for a bit...my favorite games on there are Plinko, the Hill climber one, and when they do the golf(cause everyone who plays it on there suck at it). But they got rid of Rod Riley or whatever his name was, and now they got this queer-sounding guy...
