I don't know exactly, but taking that there are still newly upcoming features(some cars modified for a certain event such as GT Academy and a few existent tracks altogether) into consideration, the track can also be proposed in for the next addition of those features.

Hi all, Just a quick one.. Being that I live local to Silverstone and have drove the circuit many times, I would absolutely LOVE this to be on the game.. Why is it not?? :( I hope its in a DLC soon or I hope they put it on GT6. I thought as its where they hold the GT Academy race camp, they would of put in on the game. Whats your thoughts or what other circuits should be on the game in your opinion?

They already went to silver stone a while back..... Seeing as they haven't released it I'm guessing it'll be in gt6

99% chance it will be in GT6. Better late than never I guess. They've only been using it for GT Academy for 5 years now.

You make search button sad.

Personally, I don't care much for Silverstone, but it could largely be due to being sick of racing it in Forza. Running it in GT would do nothing for me.

I'm not a huge fan of silverstone myself. Been a few times. Also raced in a couple games. Just a bit too flat for me. I like graduation changes that test you going into corners.

If we could have a single UK circuit added I'd go for Brands Hatch. Ups and downs and plenty of interest. Second choice would be Donnington where Craner Curves would be a real challenge!

Silverstone + the short circuit would be great! But GT needs British circuits badly. Brands hatch (+indy), Donnington, Oulton Park, Croft, Knockhill.

It's spelled Donington people.

I don't like Silverstone myself but Brands Hatch and Oulton Park would be nice.

I can't see it happening though.

I seem to remember ISI's Tim Wheatley saying that UK tracks generally want to much money when he was looking at possible licensed contact for RFactor 2.
Shame really as i would love more real world circuits and we have some great one in the UK.
I guess its all down to money though whether we will see them in GT or not. My guess is not though.

The Motorsport Vision tracks (Brands, Oulton, Snetterton, Cadwell) can't be that expensive, SMS has licensed them on a budget of 3.75M Euros. Bit less than the $60m budget for PD.

Yeah, they also skipped 900 cars, 3D capability and Shift2 is pretty much useless on the PS3 with a wheel. All things one tends to take for granted.

Anyway, SMS stated they used the assets that were easy to come by as they are a British studio. Stands to reason they prefer tracks in the UK and/or Europe rather than sending their (whole?) development team on a 3 week journey to 3 different continents each only to discover back in Britain their flash memory card didn't survive the scanner at the airport.

Uh, what on EARTH has any of that got to do with the point I made? Seriously.

Yes that's all very nice but again I was simply replying to the guys point that UK tracks are expensive to license when clearly some of them aren't that high and if a company on a tiny budget can afford it, PD on a much larger budget should have no trouble. Why you felt the need to go on a rant about the example company I used to prove a point I have no idea.

That's a lot of £s for a UK track. Pity as I'd love to race any of them, except Knockhill which looks a mare to drive at least in the BTCC series.

Well, try harder next time to make a valid point.

Are you talking about the 3.75M Euro figure I mentioned? That was the whole budget for the game, not how much they paid for the tracks. Just like the 60m dollar figure I mentioned in comparison was the whole budget for GT5.

Well, try harder next time to make a valid point.

Excuse me? It was a perfectly valid point. Someone suggested that the UK tracks might be very expensive to license, I suggested that if someone with a total budget of 3.75m Euros for their game can afford to license them then someone with a budget of $60m should not have a problem doing so.

I really don't know how my point could have been any clearer.

Having been there for GT Academy, I can't wait to drive it in GT.

And I prefer some flat tracks every once in a while. Out of all the DLC's I've gotten the most use out of Motegi as I love it's design.

Wouldn't mind having the Dubai Circuit too...

That's a good point. Maybe there is hope yet for UK content. 👍
