How do you turn on simulation mode? Fuel consumption, tire wear, all that jazz in career mode?

I drive with all the driving aids off, is that simulation mode?

Or is simulation mode on available for wheel users?

You can select amateur, professional, or simulation steering modes with a wheel. These don't affect any of the things you asked about though. I'm not even sure what they do since I immediately switched it to simulation and haven't tried any other settings.

The S series events have accelerated tire wear and fuel consumption. Hopefully in an update they will add real endurance races like in GT5.

"Simulation" mode is for selected wheels in the options menus. If your wheel pic isn't highlighted when you choose that option it doesn't apply to your wheel.. Doesn't work for any Logitech wheels for example if memory serves.

Still see people posting about it, along with steering sensitivity for wheels.

On topic, your only option if you want full simulation mode (damage and realistic grip reduction on top of what you said, @Lendaug_GT) is to play online. It's well worth it if you find a good group of friends. You probably already do that though, so this won't be helpful. :(

This game is really lacking in settings, Cant turn on damage, fuel consumption or any of the goodness not even in arcade... =(

Wish Kaz would quit ditzing with his "Vision" And provide us the product we paid for..

Simulation mode is for wheels with 200 degrees of rotation or less. They've updated the info when you highlight it, really clears it up for those who "think" it works for other wheels.

Thank you, and Johnnypenso as well, at least I didn't have to set things straight this time regarding the steering wheel settings.

Actually, it makes complete sense. At the lower levels, you don't want any of those things because it makes the game extremely difficult to learn with.

This is the first I've heard that those settings are unavailable in Arcade. Hmm.

The rest of it is used online depending on the room you are in. Practice, and if you get good, join a league.

It makes sense if your new too the game, I've been playing GT series since day one... having the option to turn it on in career makes more sense then it does by simply Not having the option...

Playing with Manual trans, All of the aids off and its still way too easy...

Im fine with online having it but there is absolutely NO Reason arcade doesnt have these options... not every one wants to race strictly online, infact.. when my nephews come over, thats where we spend most of our playstation time is racing each other on arcade, with high damage, and all the goodies... well atleast we did in GT5...

I guess it's just another element they left off the list this time around.
