cant agree more... differences are just HUGE.. and its spit in the face for everyone who turns that crap off.. also License tests with SRF on... and you cant turn it off... WTF PD? Seriously.. a driving simulator using non existing crap for licenses...? :) made me ROFL...

I have taught myself to drive without any aids over the last few nights and its completely changed how i play the game. I think its far more exciting. I felt like a new man. No joke.

SR makes you faster, much faster. It annoys me that it's basically forced on us.

The only time where it is useful is to make rallying less like you're driving on marbles, the rallying in GT6 is horrific. Richard Burns Rally got it right 8 years ago and nobody has come close since.

To be honest i quite liked Dirt 2. Imo. Too many stupid dune buggy races in that game though, that was the only downside

Dirt 2 was awesome, great FFB too and a great driving model. It wasn't really a simulator though. GT is trying to simulate rally but it's quite hopeless to be honest.

Richard Burns Rally was a true simulator and did an amazing job of the physics. Rally cars are very agile and nimble, quick to change direction and they dig into the surface hard, but at the same time it takes a great deal of skill to drive them right. RBR really nails all those aspects, it's still very difficult but you feel like you actually have grip and like the cars actually respond. Rally in GT6 is a very slow sliding around sensation, cars feel sluggish and slow to respond, no grip at all.

SRF helps the rally cars in GT6, it's still only a bandaid fix that doesn't really fix the problem in the first place. GT's offroad physics are just a long way behind the tarmac physics. Not uncommon, same is true with Rfactor offroad physics. I'd still prefer SRF wasn't in the game though, they force it on too often and it really changes the game for the worse.

+100 I was looking at the times for the seasonal events and was like WTF, I know I'm slow but this is crazy... then realized the top 1,000 times have SRF on :rolleyes::scared:
