Hiya! :D :O

After readinth the threads between Viper and Skyline guy, it made me think about the Skylines that are imported to the US... :O Dont you both think that people may try to steal the Skylines? I mean ITS a SKYLINE!!! :O I can confidently say that most or all import tuners want a skyline and some will be willing to attempt to steal a Skyline or some of its part! Wait.. maybe I am wrong about most of them wanting a Skyline, but just for those who REALLY want one! :O
And can we really trust the tuner garages in the US to put/install/fix our future Skylines? Would they really know how to look and fix the skylines? I am saying this because I am not a mechanic and dont dtrust myself to do the tuning and rather have a professional do it, maybe like Nissan dealer themselves. :O:O:O

Yes Skylines are a common for car thiefs in Australia, Thats why I have an Alarm, Imobiliser, keyless entry, club lock, a huge amount of sensors and always 2 cars parked behind mine at night both with alarms and clublocks. It is a pain when I want to go out though, but usually I just take my crap car (1979 Mazda 323).

Hiya! :D :O

To SkylineGTR_Guy: wow Jeez....people would actually STEAL the GT-R badge? :odd: That sure does tell how there are crazy people in this world! :odd: :O I do wonder myself why would someone want to go through all the trouble just to steal the badge. Hmmm... To prove to their friends/peer/relatives that they saw a Skyline and brings the badge to prove it? Stealing it because they know they will never ever own a Skyline so they steal a peice of it to ease their jealousy a bit of that owner? Souvenir?

Although it is interesting how my local Pep Boys sell GT-R badges for under 10 bux, but I am not sure if its the ACTUAL GT-R badge that is used on the Skyline, maybe just a replica made with cheaper metal than the oringinal. I attempted many times to get two and decorate them in my room! :O But everytime I see one there, run home, get money, come back...GONE!! SOLD OUT! I will get them somehow...or just put up an reserve order so when they get more ill get them for sure :O Anyways SkylineGTR-Guy, I wanna hear wut you think about why these thefts would steal GT-R badges! :O:O thnxie :O:O:O

To Viper: wow...you must really worry about your Skyline everytime you park it in public places to get into a shop or soemthing. Anytime now, you must be getting nervous overtime that your Skyline's alarm will ring for your aid    Guess that's one of the reason why people who own rare or expensive cars such as Ferrari's dont drive their special/hard to earn cars as an "Everyday" car. :O But I wish I can feel the way you feel when your Skyline's alarm goes on or worsely...go to the parking lot to find your car GONE!
I would also would like to know um...you dont have to tell me but... would you mind telling us about some attempted theft auto that happened to your Skyline and how you felt about it? If any attempts came to it? :O thnxie :O:O:O

I dont drive my Skyline to the shops and I dont park it anywhere exept my house or friends houses and we are usually outside anyway. Thats what ive got my cheap Mazda for (shops etc).

I am happy to say my skyline as never had a theift attempt. I am worried about the rear boot (trunk) lock badge (the one that swivels) because it someone breaks it off, I have to buy a whole new lock, it doesnt come off seperately:sick:.
I have however had the paperboy hit the skyline with the newspaper in the morning twice! I rang him and it hasnt happened since.

BTW the GTR badges you buy at autoshops (we dont have pep boys here) arnt real Nissan GTR badges, just after market ones. If you want a real GTR badge you have to go to Nissan and get one (part number 76809-24U00 (R33)).

Here is a pic of it, Yes I know its dirty

Viper check out this car alarm:

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (CNN) -- Crime-obsessed South Africans have a powerful new weapon with which to stop likely criminals: the car flamethrower.

Casting a man-high fireball, reportedly with no damage to the paint, the Blaster has been placed on 25 South African vehicles since its introduction last month.

At 3,900 rand ($655), it offers a cheap, dramatic defense against carjackers. It has yet to be deemed illegal.

South African courts allow killing if convinced that it's in self-defense. The defense is not unheard of. In last year's 13,000 carjackings, criminals often brandished weapons or used them with little provocation.

The Blaster squirts liquefied gas from a bottle in the automobile's trunk through two nozzles, located under the front doors. The gas is then ignited by an electric spark, with fiery consequences.

Both sides flame at the same time, regardless of whether the attack is coming from just one side of the vehicle, or whether passersby are on the other side. But the breadth and depth of blast can be modified according to individual preference.
Mclaren's angel: I'm not sure, maybee they wan't to put them on their civics? I dunno, I saw a sentra with a GTR badge at the mall a while ago :yuck: Or maybee just for the hell of it and lack of nothing better to do than mess with someone elses property

that's a sick car alarm.. 👍 I've heard of car alarms with an electricity shock. But just imagine if some ass decides to bump his 20 inch woofers and sets off the flame throwers? :scared:

Hiya! :D :O

I remember seeing those Flame things for cars on TV some time ago, but I am sure it is illegal to have in the US becuz it can kill people :O I admit that it would also look kewl if you can rev your engine and manually turn on the flames to make your car REALLY LOOK LIKE A MONSTER!!! GRRR GRRR!!  :O
