We're Slide Effects. Better known as SFX. We like to drift and stuff. When we're together, it's pretty much a nonstop party. We don't take anything seriously.. except for video games. Forza sucks and we're here to stay so get used to our ugly faces. We're generally pretty awesome and cool, so don't be shy and join our lobbies if you're looking to have a mediocre time with some mediocre drifters. See you all on the track.. or something!

3/10/12 - Due to the recent increase in activity on GT5 and Cro's indefinite hiatus, Fadam and I thought it would be best to start a new thread. Most of the current info was borrowed from the old thread and will be edited/changed up in time. Also, Fizzy and JoeGTR have joined us from the Forza side. Beautiful Run and SeanWelland have also been added to the roster. We will continue to recruit until all of the holes in our roster have been filled. Stick around, we have a lot more to come and we hope to drift with you all soon!

4/14/12 - Nightpyre & CircuitHero have both been dropped due to inactivity. We're still looking for a few supercoolchillbrodudes, preferably from U.S. timezones, so hit us up in a lobby. That is all. Good day.

General Info:
Typical Maximum Players Allowed: 5-12
Times that you may see the lobby online: We have a host from the UK as well as the USA so our lobby times will vary.
Our team hosts regular drifting lobbies on nearly a daily basis
and everyone is welcome. We drift, we cruise, we chill and just
generally try to have fun. For anyone who wants to practice,
learn, or just have some tandems with randoms feel free to
come by and hopefully you'll have a good time. Below is
general information about the lobby we host in hopes it will be
of use.

Lobby Notes:
-RWD Only
-FR Layout Preferred
-Unlimited Horsepower
-Comfort Medium/Comfort Hard Only
-All Assists Off, ABS is allowed
-Grip/Track Edge set to Real
-Tire Wear/Fuel Consumption Off
-Damage is Off
-Mic is preferred, but not necessary

Common Courtesy:
- The No Overtaking Policy -- It's common sense really, don't
overtake unless it's necessary. When drifting with other people,
the goal should be to try to follow their line to the best of your
abilities, not try to grip up and time attack through the inside. So
please, try to hold a tandem line for as long as possible.
Sometimes it is okay to overtake the car in front of you, like
when they are spinning out, or taking a painfully wide and slow
line. As above, use common sense.

- Hey, wait up dude! -- Seriously, wait on people that are looking
to tandem, especially newer drifters. It can be on the straights,
or wherever there is a break in the action, but show some
courtesy and wait up for people that fall behind. We all join
online lobbies to drift near other people, right?

- Bumps and Bruises -- There are going to be crashes, and
scrapes, that's part of drifting. Just don't go all Rambo on
everyone and start crashing for no reason. Simple.

- Wow, Stay Still -- When you spin in front of other people,
especially on a tight track, try to stay put. Let other drivers pass
before you pull out in front of everyone, I don't know how
many awesome trains have been ruined by people being
careless.

- Don't take it too serious -- Although there are these
"rules" and "courtesy tips" that doesn't mean they're written in
stone. For the most part, the lobby is laid back and we have
fun, most of the time its a lot of random good times. When
things do get serious business, though, it's nice to have some
order. Just use your brain and all will be gravy.

I should be getting my seat to start my cockpit build later today. Still not entirely sure how I'm going to piece it all together but I've got a few ideas.
 
Anyone interested in maybe getting a bi-weekly or so Time Attack event for the team/friends going again? Say when I'm back online or so?
 
Same here. I figured you'd be down. I posted the rules we came up with awhile back, I think I might go back and test them out a bit before we start it up again.
 
I'm not as "quick" as I was on controller with the wheel yet but it just gives me another reason to keep practicing.
 
Oh I haven't yet. Working 50-60 hours a week is killing my practice time. And now that I just moved, I need to rig something up before I can even use my wheel again. haha
 
Time Attack sounds good. I have no idea how competitive I am tho.

Shipping for Outsiders is £13. That's £2 less then the DVD itself lol.
Edit: Shipping to the US is only £10 o.O
