yes in the options you can go to 2P options and set the car hindicap....and also the "boost" it will give the car in 2nd place....i prefer to turn that OFF!

nitrous ?

Yes , I think it is posibble to adjust the car positions so they start right next to each other . Turn off the handicap ? I might have to check this out later .

When you're racing in 2 player mode, the game gives the 2nd place person a higher top speed or a "boost" to keep it competitive. I think it's great, especially when you're racing say Escudos on the Test Course.

yup

well actually i havent quite checked it out in GT3 but i remember GT2 had a handicap and you could pick how far ahead (in meters) 1st or 2nd started ahead of each other....and the "boost" is basically if 2nd place is far behind, the computer gives him/her a huge boost of power to try and get back up with 1st place....it was made to keep races even, but most people dislike it because if they have superior driving, and take a turn faster, the person who is less skilled might still end up beating them...which in any case is not fair racing

EDIT: darn someone beat me to it again.....yarg i gotta wake up :indiff:

but u can change it in options but i cant seem to but the cars beside each other for me its either infront or behind.

Cobraking is right... It's either staggered like a normal grid - if you set it to a specific amount of handicap - or the 2P car is directly behind the 1P car if handicap is set to zero.

Give 1P the distance handicap and just whup 2Ps ass from behind on the grid. It's more satisfying. :D

Or you could switch controllers every race you do...

I've only got one DS2. Screw that... :D

When playing Crash Team Racing with my nieces & nephews-in-law-by-proxy (I'm not married into the family yet, but may as well be), they always swap their controllers with mine after the race, because "That car's quicker"...
