Is anyone else experiencing this?

At times pages are not loading or loading half way then just stopping.

By "loading half away," do you mean something like this?

Try clearing your cache and resetting your modem. It worked for me, at least.

By loading half way when I go to the main forum page only GT5, GT6 and GT Academy load and the rest is just the off white background.

Tracert and Ping tests look normal.

Or just get a white page and have to F5 a fair bit which will cause double or even triple posts.

Yeah, I'm experiencing this. Either the page will only load halfway or not at all. Every other website works just fine for me, it's just GTPlanet. I'm using Safari on OS X 10.8.

Using Google Chrome; webpages are taking 20 minutes to load or refusing to load at all, however if I close the tab then re-open GTPlanet the problem is magically solved temporarily.

When the issue is apparent all other websites (Including video streaming sites such as Youtube) work perfectly.

This has been happening all day.

I see you guys are both in Australia. Though you are in different parts, your connection to GTPlanet is probably being routed through a link or network along the way which is having problems or intermittent packet loss.

The server infrastructure itself is running smoothly, so unfortunately there's not much I can do to help out. If you're interested, you could try comparing traceroute results to see if your pathway to the site hits a common router somewhere along the way.

Thanks for the response, Jordan. Once I noticed the thread was created by another Australian, I guessed our classic Australian Internet might have something to do with our troubles.

Don't know if it's just me and my ISP again but things are super slow right now, pages taking a long time to load and many images like post icons not loading at all.

Are you using Firefox? It's just that we have the same ISP and I've been having the same problem with loading times on GTP over the past couple of days, but only when I use FF. It still loads fine for me when I use Chrome.

It does return to normal occasionally, like right now for example. I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts only an hour before loading slowly again though. It's been fluctuating since the brief downtime on Wednesday.

For me the site has been very slow at loading all day, both on my home connection and via my phone. All other websites are running as usual. Just now the forums loaded up without any images, just text everywhere!

It was very slow loading anything for me this afternoon but it's now fast again.

Browser = Safari.

All of the server metrics are healthy, and the site appears to be loading quickly for me. I see you're all using Virgin Media as your ISP (with the exception of Furinkazen, who's on BT Central), but you are all in the UK.

Could you all run traceroutes to www.gtplanet.net and cdn.gtpla.net and share your results here? I have a suspicion cdn.gtpla.net, the geographically distributed content delivery network servers, may be the source of your issue.

I too am getting problems, and I'm with Sky Broadband, and on Chrome.

EDIT: This is what I got for gtplanet.net:

Traceroute has started…

And this is what I got for cdn.gtpla.net:

It was slow for you when you ran those traceroutes? All those numbers look fine.
