besides the LSD, does it have anything to do with the the torque ratios?

do u mean gear ratios... well yes and no a shorter gear wont spin for a long a time because is a small ratio .. then however a wider gear may spin for a while depending on hp turbo / na and tire selection

im sry but i don't believe thats rite...

gear ratios just give you a range withing each gear... gear ratios have nothing to do with wheel spin...

most of my drifts i stay at the same rpm through out the drift.. giveing it more or less accelerator as needed... so gear ratios have nothing to do w/ it...

CiBoysInc...i buy the semi-racing transmission cause it has very short gears and i like drifting right at the top of my rpms....thats my personell preferance, you may like it too...

i drift that way also i was just trying to help him but u cut my head off but i may have been wrong so thanks exhaust :0

the way i blow some smokes is getting my s13 2000cc to 271 HP and using customizable LSD and putting the initial torque all the way up (60) with normal tires. i think you can blow some smokes even if your car is stock...it depends though, if your car has enough power to peel out

actually i like to drift at the top of thr rpm also, at a specific gear, 3rd gera that is. mostly on RX-7s, 240 (Sylvia) and skylines, for hight compression cars like the JGTC Cars i like it at 4th but that depends on my tuning of the gears.

tires don't need to be smoking when drifting (although it's "cool")... anyway, if you want to make more smoke, you'll have to change up the "line" alittle... also, you don't necessarily have to change up the settings to do this... use the power over technique...

You can change the Weight Distribution of the car by heightening the back of the car and lowering in the front... In theory, this lets the rear wheels spin more which equals more smoke :-D

which kind of tires is the best to create more smoke?

(I would say S-Slick in no knowledge..)

It all depends on wheelspin. If you can run sims, do it. They offer plenty of wheelspin, even on stock cars.

However, I have a few very powerful cars on s-softs, and I still have plenty of smoke. Those cars have the power to spin the s-softs enough to get the smoke. My 1004hp Aston Martin V8 Vantage is one of them. I wouldn't even bother trying to drift that on s-slicks.

So if you're looking for a lot of smoke, there's no set tire to use. You'll have to factor in the vehicle, its level of tune, and how you drive it.

burning rubber doesn't smell nice. smoking is bad.
making smokes while drifting is bad for the enviroment

keep tahoe blue!

haha

I love the smell of burning rubber... and petrol as well.. (yes I know it's bad.. but everyone secretly likes it)

Catch-my-Drift?
More SMOKE is directly proportional to higher ANGLE. So, if you are looking for more smoke, increase your angle.

Finally someone gave the correct answer...

It has nothing to do with tire choice, speed, settings, or anything else...

The more force you are putting on the tires, the more smoke you will have (of course this doesn't apply to grip driving)... The higher your angle, the more force you are putting on the tires, thus peeling off more rubber, thus creating more smoke...

;)

Hmmm....Has anyone else noticed that when SD posts it seems to be the end of the thread. I'm not ragging on him or anything like that. It's just kinda strange to me. SD says something and everyone gets quite. Oh well.

lol, so you want to me the one who ends the thread?

maybe SD's got a goood point, so nobody wants to argue with him
haha.

RX-7 personal favorite.....i think has a lot of smoke...and just that during my drifts i try to floor it to keep the wheels spinning as much as possbile

This is a very elementary question. But in GT3 does the type of tire effect the amount of smoke?
