New season, new drivers, new open responsibilities. If you are interested if any position set to as OPEN or any position that has me as backup, please post here and @ me.

I still had various disconnects yesterday morning when I was practicing. And I was by myself. Maybe fixed host might do the trick for tonight.

It might help but there isn't anyone in D2 that has taken the necessary steps to become approved by SNAIL to run a fixed host room on Sunday night. It's not a difficult process and usually only takes less than five minutes.

What are the required steps?

What are the required steps?

State that you want to be approved to run fixed host and submit speedtest.net results. They must be the type that show the graphic from speedtest or a direct link. Anyone who wants to run fixed host must submit at least 2, one to each coast of North America. This can be done either in a SNAIL thread or via private conversation with me. Once approved, that host would need to make themselves familiar with the policies for running a fixed host room. There are some differences in the event of disconnection by the host.

And in terms of special instructions, all instructions are in section 6.2 correct?

so... I am going to be hosting ... or did I just wasted my time setting the rooms?
You can host, I just wanted to get that out of the way in case of problems in the future. Would you like to be the primary host?

sure thing. I will tell you if I run into any problems. YOu can assign the photo gig to me as well.
Are you going to be streaming the races?

D2 as usual.. .do not forget to clear your cache and do a courtesy reboot of your PS3 before entering the room to avoid any mishaps.

I see the data is already done and I presume it was entered by @Jonesman59 and thanks for that. Just in case you don't know, the full data entry is not necessarily part of the Scorekeeper's responsibility so you don't have to put yourself under pressure to do it. @pakicote is the division's Data Specialist and I am his backup. I certainly don't have any objections to you doing it but @pakicote may wish to continue to look after data entry from a $hell collection pov.

After last week's mess it was great to enjoy a solid night's racing without pesky connection problems and hearty congrats to @Kgffy on his strong winning performance. I have a feeling he may well have a strong influence as to what we will be racing next Sunday. 👍

My apologies to @pakicote and @turnupdaheat . I wasn't $hell hogging on purpose, I promise!

I was presented with a spreadsheet, and erroneously assumed that I needed to complete all the fields, thinking that all of it was under the Scorekeeper duties. I will only complete the scoring next time.

My time in SNAIL is only a couple months long, and I had not made myself aware of how the responsibilities were broken up between the positions, I just showed up and raced. I should've asked more questions when I took over the position.

On a personal note, I will also make sure that oil changes are done prior to entering the room for racing. I discovered I was a bit underpowered for the last combo.

To clarify, the scorekeeper only needs to enter the following at a minimum:

Pole winner
Pole time
Finishing places
Total race time

When I score keep, I usually also enter all the qualifying positions, a gap of 0 for the winner and best lap/my best lap if I remember it.

No need for apologies. I'm happy the job is done and as I don't claim $hells there is no issue with me there.

I'll echo Mr. Heat. No need for apologies. :) On the contrary thank you for entering the data.

I do like the $hells auctions but mainly I do it to contribute a little bit to the league. The guys who keep this running do so much. It’s the least I can do.

Just a heads up, I've had a really rough week/weekend so I'll trying to stay out of everyones way tonight.

Don't wait for me, I'll be staying way out of the way. Still hurts and have very little feeling so my reactions will be too slow to be near others.
