Welcome to the inaugural Division 3 season of SNAILRACING Gran Turismo Sport. We need to fill all of the below positions prior to race time tomorrow. Please post in this thread if you are interested.


Division Manager - @CoachMK21
Assists with all facets of the division, including organizing the race night duties.

Host - @JamCar0ne
Backup Host - @Drewspeed, @CoachMK21
Opens and manages the lobby, including qualifying and race start times.

Scorekeeper - Need a volunteer
Backup Scorekeeper - @CoachMK21
Live scoring, updating the score sheet after each race.

Replay Uploader - @TomMang_68

Replay Save and Uploading Process
Immediately after a race, save it to the GT Sport cloud and then share to all. The naming convention in the first tag button is important so we can search for it. The name of the file (which is optional) should be the room name


Example: For Division 4 Round 1 Race 2 or would be:
Tag#1: 20171029D4R1R2 to indicate the date, division, round and race (The Tag# doesn't allow spaces, capitals or special characters)

The Name: SNAILRACING.ORG D2R1R2
Comment can be: October 29, 2017

In this universal way, anyone, including Stewards can view replays.

With my limited internet I would not be much help as back up host, and unfortunately with my work(on call) I can't fully commit my time like I would like too, but with instructions and help, I am happy to assist in anyway.
On a side note though, you may not want me to have very much involvement in this division, because I truly believe there may have been a mistake made that landed me here?? I raced with SNAIL on GT6 in division 4 and was hardly competitive with those guys, and I see most of them are in Divisions 4 and 5 now on Sport. Possibly I had a lucky time trial, but it didn't seem too amazing to me. I have no problem starting here, but I am a bit nervous as I've practiced with some of you on GT6 on Thursday nights, and I was simply not the same caliber.

For the first season, we went straight on the TT time. There appear to be anomalies in the results, but we'll see how it shakes out the first season, then we'll adjust from there.
 
Hey Guys! Excited to race tonight, watching F1 right now lol. Idk how my internet connection is my WiFi is **** lol so I’m not sure if I could be host. Practiced the races a bit in the morning, nervous about the Ferrari gt3 race which is one I struggled to keep a consistent lap time.
 
If you're running on wifi, you should not host. Ideally you shouldn't even try and race using wifi. It only breeds problems. Buy a cable and string it from you router to your PS4.

Rooms open in about three hours. It's all in that thread that's in my signature that you confirmed that you read and to which you agreed.

I can record data @vsfit . i save all replays as a habit so i can back that up.

I don't have confidence that my internet connection is the best to host with but if no one else steps up we run with what we got....
 
Well, I think I can host. But since I haven't raced with us in many, many months, I'm out of practice in many, many ways too. I'd rather not do it tonight, but I can.
 
Im getting a "problem communicating to the server" error when trying to share a replay to All or Just Friends. I have all 6 replays saved but it's getting late. I'll try again later tomorrow but will need some extra time after dinner to complete... Also game crashes when attempting to watch a replay :)

Not that it makes a difference in anything but I should get last place points for race 1. I qualified and was on the grid for the original start.
