Here are the starting grids for tonight's races:

I've updated the starting grid (to reflect kg and speedcenter being out) and we're currently at a total of 16 drivers (which means one lobby).

I'll give everyone until 4 PM EST to voice interest here, otherwise I'll finalize the decision to combine lobbies at that time.

As much as having so much interest that 2 divisions are needed is awesome, I look forward to the mixed gr race if it comes to that.

Not sure about the "Who" is required to respond, but just to be on the safe side, I will be at the Event this evening.

We'll have 7 GT-Rs and 9 Beetles sharing the track. This went pretty smoothly last night (with a smaller field), so it should be interesting to see how things go tonight. Just remember GT-Rs, the burden's on you to pass Beetles patiently and cleanly. The Beetles aren't expected to "let" the GT-Rs pass - just keep your driving line consistent and the GT-Rs will pick their spots.

I'll open the lobby by 8:30 EST at the latest, and the race starts at 9:00 EST. Good luck everyone!

Im going to have some bugs on my windshield by the end of the night :mischievous: just kidding, I’d actually rather drive the Beetle. It’s a fun car.

New Combo Selection Procedure

Since we now have two divisions, and each division will driver a separate car, we’ll need a new combo selection procedure. We’ll have two prizes:

Prize A: You get to choose the track and car of your division
- Awarded to the driver with the most points in the current season (regardless of division)
- Prize A can only be won by a driver once per season​

Prize B: You get to choose the car for your division
- Awarded to the driver who won their division’s race
- Prize B cannot be claimed by a driver from the same division as the winner of Prize A
- Prize B can be won multiple times in the same season​

Note that the Prize B winner will be a limited in his/her choice of car. Since we may need to combine lobbies on race day, we’ll need the cars driven by each division to play nicely together - specifically, the car chosen by the Prize B winner must:
- Use the same tire compounds and tire/fuel wear as the car chosen by the Prize A winner
- Allow for safe/easy passing (i.e. the lap times by each car should be roughly 5 seconds apart)​

Here’s a table (that could probably use some tweaking) to use as a guideline for the Prize B car:

Since this is week 1 and we're combining lobbies, there will definitely be a tie for Prize A (a driver from D1 and a driver from D2 will each get 25 points for finishing first). Here's the tie-breaking procedure:

- If the tie is between drivers from different divisions, award to the driver from the division with the most participants in the most recent race
- If the divisions have the same number of participants in the most recent race, award to the division driving the faster car
- If the tie is between drivers from the same division, award to the driver with the best finish in the most recent race
