Thanks alot for all your kind comment.

Now here's an update, for your own viewing pleasure :sly: of my Mine's Skyline GT-R N1 Vspec '00
Gotta love that car.

My shots have no names because I can't find any, out of inspiration
You may suggest some.
And of course, please comment :sly:

i have a very similar, in fact almost the same shot as the 2nd skyline you posted. now that's spooky. worse, i did it with gimp too. great shots btw :D

The composition and lighting in the 300ZX shot work really well and the sense of speed is quite cool too, but did you do something to the car? It looks a bit blotchy and blurred to me, rather than having at least one area that is sharp and detailed like it would ingame.

I blurred the bottom and the back a little + some region to remove the pixelisation.

The result isn't exactly what I expected. I still need some practice with Gimp, which is about half of photoshop which I'm much better with... But only have it on my mac (see post 1)

The skyline ones are great and i love the fast 300Zx pic:tup:

not a bad job on the 300zx pic. but like moglet said, it looks blotchy and blurred a bit much or something. not a bad pic otherwise though.

I like your pics.

one question, do you save your pictures directly to your flashdrive or save them to your flashdrive from the menu. Im just asking because your pics seem a bit blurry and the original quality should be better when you save directly.

I save directly to the flash drive and in superfine.

Maybe its me then. I'll see that, thank you.

Maybe it's also because I blur the whole picture exempt the car so the eyes gets catched by the car right away.
Like I said early, I'm learning how Gimp works... Been used to photoshop and there's a huge step between them.

Here's a little workout i made trying to show a starting picture to a complete picture. I'm aware that the opinions might not be unanimous... I only wanted to have some fun with the filters of Gimp and learn a little more on the program at the same time. I'm not convince at all that people will like that so I didn't even consider it as an update ! lol... So for those who wanted to see an update and only clicked on page 3 from the menu... Please report on page 2 to see "real" picture workouts.
Still, feel free to comment.

WORKOUT

not bad yet again. the S2000 on the last update looks like it's about to bite the mercedes  great action shots. i like what you did with the F1 pic too.but i think you should get back to photoshop again. just a thought :) keep up the good work.

I'd really LOVE to go back on photoshop
But I can't since I have no room to install my Mac + there's all ready 2 computers + Playstation + TV + Table with DFP + Stereo in there... No more place to even open the wardrobe !

wow, that's scrary... Same car, same place and even same effect on the back of the car... The only that changes is mainly the angle ! LMAO !!!!

I gotta say I love the Skyline at HK, shots 2-4 are very nice, great colour.
The Action on the Ring shot is very interesting and unique.
Good work, keep it up. 👍

I know it's been long since last update and I'm sorry.

So here's one for today :D

First attempt trying to clean the whole car... Hard with Gimp

Here's the starting pic to give an idea of the job done.

Thank you for this comment...

I'd need help to apply Motion Blur with Gimp... Can't help it, it always blur a small part of the car, no matter the selection, anyone can help ? thx.

motion blur with gimp is not that hard at all, though it can be a bit tough to get good results, depends on your skills and how you understand it. what you would want to do, is carefully select the background that you want to blur,
and make sure u dont get any part of the car whatsoever, and then crop the image and copy it to another layer, then paste it obviously, then do the motion blur there, i hope you remember which one to press, coz i can't be bothered opening gimp right now. anyways, yeah. when you're done, just copy the layer again and it paste it back to the original layer. and that should do it. anymore questions just pm me. i'd be more than happy to help.

I worked it out, thank for the tips.

But I found my way though Tutorials... I was always forgetting a step :banghead:
Not perfect, but good I think.

Please comment, especially the blur.
Thx.

Here's a shot I've been working on for awhile.
I've experiment motion blur but on 5 parts(Background, forground 1, forground 2-Curb- , RX-7 and RX-7 wheel) of the picture. Please tell me what you think.

FINAL SHOT

hehe... Thx alot... But the res is very low... It's shrinked down to 640 X 291 :(
Srry

I do that so you guys don't bother clicking to enlarge then having to go full screen... etc.

This one is an experience I made. I played alot with the levels on this shot and ALOT of motion blurs have been applied to the picture.

Please, tell me what you guys think of this one.
Thank you,
Snyp
