Has anyone passed the last mission test ?
..and have they made the S-Type R handle properly. In GTC it was terrible, not true to life at all, I know, I've driven one.cerbman1No one tried the DB9?

Cerbs handling doesn't surprise me after all it is the S6 which is softer than the 4.2 and 4.5. I expect with a bit of tweaking the DB9 should be better too. Tried the S-type R yet?SambertoThe DB9 was the first serious car that I purchased. Slightly ponderous handling with a tendency to understeer. Quite different from the Vanquish in GT3.
Incidentally, the Cerbera has a little more body roll than the T350C and the Tuscan. Great fun nonetheless.
I have yet to purchase a saloon.cerbman1Cerbs handling doesn't surprise me after all it is the S6 which is softer than the 4.2 and 4.5. I expect with a bit of tweaking the DB9 should be better too. Tried the S-type R yet?
Did you have GTC? if so you would find that in that game the Jag had terrible lift off oversteer. The real car for such a heavy old bird has really good handling not like GTC at all.SambertoI have yet to purchase a saloon.
My bewinged pretend S2 Exige handles as it should

BarnabasMR2 turbo and the BMW 2002 Turbo. They are both awesome cars with nice progressive oversteer, which suits my driving style. The G60(?) that only has 90ps is pretty sweet. For a car that seems low on power, it handles great although its pretty twitchy. Driving that thing on the Ring w/o TCS is HARD.
EDIT: anybody know what I can do to cure that initial understeer on the Subie WRXs? I have a Spec C and I can't stand how it initially understeers when I turn in. Will rear biasing the power help out get some oversteer?
cant you just configure the Differentials to get rid of too much lift off oversteer?
kenseiI agree. Some cars sound REALLY (I mean orgasmically) good (Skyline N1, Audi A3)...but other sound tinny and lame, like the RGT and M3 - though a sport muffler helps both sound wise.
The real car has very good handling so this should be reflected in the game, therefore in this instance adjustment shouldn't be necessary.Gabkickscant you just configure the Differentials to get rid of too much lift off oversteer?
beijingracerbad handling: dodge (viper)

I would harldy say that the RGT is bomber stable through the corners - straights yes - corners no. (I presume you are playing without TCS and ASM - as that changes everything.)
All 911's (among which we can count the RGT), both in real life and in a good simulation, suffer from the physical reality that the center of mass is near the rear axle due to the rear engine configuration, giving them a weight distribution of something like 40/60 Front/Rear. As a result, once the car begins to oversteer, all of that mass keeps going in a straight line, giving 911's the reputation of being easy to lose and hard to catch in a fast corner. In real life, PSM handles most of that, as does ASM in the game - as long as you use it. If you don't, you have to avoid abrubt throttle lift so that the rear of the car doesn't stand up, unweight the back tires, and make the stick go away. I think that GT4 and the new physics engine simulate this very well, and it only makes the car more fun and challenging to drive well. My point in all of this is that it is very hard to call an RGT, or any 911, super stable through the corners, particularly when compared to cars with a 50/50 weight distribution and a MR configuration. 911s are by far my favorite car none the less - and I really wish the game included them.
By the way - you probably know all of this already - so no offense intended.
KSaiyuhaha just took a supercharged '67 Camaro to the Camaro El Capitan race![]()
Tuscan UKCan anyone confirm...you can take any car and drive it on any circuit? On GT3 you only had Run & Settings with only roughly six tracks to be let loose on?
Tuscan UKI can't wait for GT4. The wait is going to kill me, I know it.
