So, am I the only idiot who haven't got gold at the Vettel challenge?

I did not exploit the glitches, and I won't do it. And I use DS3. I only got gold on Monza. I got silver on Nur, but I can't beat 2:09:000 barrier. I never did a 2:03:999 lap, which is a must to gold it. It's impossible for me... and I won't revert the updates to exploit the glitch!

How about PD reducing the gold times for about 1 second? It would still be hard as hell, but I could get my motivation back. Since everyone has gold already, how bad would it be?

I haven't even bothered to try. ;)

In short,no,I can't do it either.

Me neither ;)
You're only an idiot if you think not doing the Vettel challenges are for idiots.

I haven't got gold in those challenges, and never will! They're rock hard and IMO, they deserve to be! I've only got bronzes in them, and I think a silver at Monza (DS3), and that's good enough for me. Being able to say you've golded it is an achievement and sets apart the great drivers from the good ones. Saying everyone's got the gold is a bit of an exaggeration as well tbh :)

You can't really change the times either, because it diminishes the achievements of everyone who's already done it.

Why does everyone wanna gold everything anyways? What happened to playing games for fun? lol

Can't gold it, it's beyond my DS3 limited capabilities. I couldn't even get a finish in the Suzuka one, so decided to glitch it. Not proud of myself, but it was the only way. I find the car completely unmanageable with a controller, and have neither the money, space or the desire to get a wheel. So I'll put up with my 2 bronzes and a stolen gold.

You may be the only idiot who didn't get gold... But then again, if you are an actual idiot, then just golding one of the trials is a true testement to your hard work, so on that basis i take my hat off to you...

But to answer your question.
No I haven't golded them neither... haven't even tried

Never even got silver in it. DS3.

I haven't attained golds in those events either, I never had even silver trophies in the Sebastian Vettel challenge being worse than you are! :yuck:

So, why do you think being unable to acquire golds in all the races is a disgrace to be recognised as a good driver apart from other excellent ones? For those who barely managed to win the race with awards of lower value - indeed to think that you're obliged to beat the challenge in all golds like others once did is rather a foolish thing.

I tried Monza for about 30 minutes and decided the car was just stupid and will not get in it again.

I am happy at bronze, I can't get silver, will never bother. If I was 12 again, then I'd have gold by now, this challenge is for the motor neuron enhanced, and my 1st gen LCD TV is 8ms and has fugly black levels, a definite nono for this challenge.

The real problem here is that a lot of people have cheated to get gold, using the glitches. But I see not everyone has done that :-)

But since many golded it using cheap tactics, I don't see how reducing 1 second to the gold times would really annoy the ones who golded it legally....

i have not golded vettel challenge and i got a wheel..bronze was easy ....more time for tophies now got level 40 a spec.i shall persevere ..heres hoping ....

Yesterday I golded the Vettel Challenge to a random guy on my friendlist who asked me to do it. It took me 10 minutes per challenge after 6 month without even playing the game. I felt godlike LOL

If you think not golding them makes you an idiot, then you are one.

If you're doing if for the car, glitch, exploit or whatever.

If you're doing it to beat the challenge, it is what it is. The challenge is to beat a certain time. If you can't do it, it's not a big deal.

I can't do it,I can't even get out of the gate most times without seeing a red time staring at me...That being said I don't imagine too many mountain climbers would want to see the summitt of Mnt. Everest knocked down a few hundred meters just so they could scale it...
There may be no medal or X2010 in my future but I say leave the times as they are.

I only wanted the car, didn't care about beating the challenge. I know I can with enough practice but racing against a computer or an AI doesn't really interest me so once I got the car I lost interest.

Trying to get bronze wouldn`t even be fun for me. I dislike the car and i have yet to read a post stating golding the Vettel challenge was fun.

I have only managed Bronze. A very difficult challenge with DS3 but not impossible depends if you have the time and patience to do it over and over.
Me I do not!

I can't do it so to me it aint a big deal, the car isn't real so don't want it

Monza is really easy.
You can cut like the entire first chicane there...
I got bronze on the rest in the first try.

I dont even have bronze and I may never try and do it either. I dont want an x2010 and dont want to drive one either.

Maybe in 2 years and GT6 isnt due out yet ill do it :D

^I don't even have bronze, also :scared: ... I just can't keep the X1 on the track :nervous:

Thankfully, I got to level 40 some time ago, so I just bought it :)

I never bothered...back before the trade limits I managed to pick up a white, a red, a purple and a prototype X2010, so I have no need even for the slower Vettel car or any gold medals...

I had the same problem as most of you guys in here, I could not control the car with my DS3, my thumbs just didn't move as fast as my head was telling them to do.

I got really annoyed by the fact I could not get 100% for the first time in my Gt history. 1,2,3,4,Gt5p, I've finished all of them. So, I just had to buy a DFGT, and I did, got gold, and a whole new experience playing GT5.

CAN'T AND WOn'T TRY AGAIN lol.

You're def. not the only one, I hate that X1 to begin with.

I managed bronze a week ago, and to be honest, it wasn't really hard. Managed to get bronze within a couple of tries. But that was when the time was raised. If I try for gold now, my difference to it -- from Nur GP/F, Monza, and Suzuka -- is 10 seconds, 1-2 seconds (it's super flat), +10 seconds. And I don't have the time to make those up, nor the motivation to even try, so I just accepted my bronze medal and the Red Bull X1 👍

I've got silver for Nurburgring and Sukuka and gold for Monza. Gold is too hard for me (just of yet). I really don't understand why people complain about the few actual challenges that GT5 actually has. It really makes me frustrated because challenge = fun (for me anyways). That's one of the reasons why I kind of miss Prolouge, remember the f40 suzuka 1 lap challenge? It took me ages and alot of effort to get gold but that's what made the game fun.
