i think a £50 gift voucher for Ann Summers should do the trick :D

Unfortunately, School will be in the way of that so for homework etc due dates I'm going to be straight, and tell them, I got Blackops on the 9th and GT5 on the 29th so have not had time to do it all.

To answer the OP's question, I got her a iPad. I have pretty much disappeared in her eyes. :D

GT5 here I come! ;)

I have been scheming and planning my "time alone" with GT5 for about 2 weeks and this is what I did in order:

1) Worked my tail off on paintings to sell so my girl has about 1k to spend while i'm with GT5.

2) Bought her a Victorias Secret gift card to spend. This will get her out of the house so I can play blasted at full volume without her complaining its too loud.

3) Pretended we were bunnies for a week and mated like no tomorrow.

4) Lastly, I have been acting like i'm sick today, telling her i'm nauseous and dizzy...thus I cannot leave the house.

***I also happen to be starting a new job on the 29th...so I have about 5 days with GT5. Just me and GT5!.***

Take her for a lil shopping at Good 'Ol Victoria Secrets :sly:

Well I’m 17 and have been dating my Gf for almost 2 years, She has an obsession for Minis, Campervans and TopGear. She enjoyed driving the Mini in Prologue and in forza 3, and I’ve recently taught her how to handle the f2007 with manual gears on prologue on the DFGT, so im afraid she will want to play on my DFGT more than I will, I think I might have to “ accidentally” loose my phone, so I only see her at college for 2 or 3 days.

Undoubtedly this has to be the most entertaining thread on GTP.

A stash resource on gender relations for any Psychologist, I would imagine as well.

As to the question at hand, the answer is: I probably will negotiate a truce at best.

As many of you know or will certainly find out, this is a very temporal and elusive task to pursue at best. Nevertheless it must continue, often at the cost of much trial and error.

Fortunately, my wife and I are old veterans at the GT wars and she knows the battle is only winnable to a point. Also knowing how much I love to play it, she will be a pretty good sport about it.
Its sort of odd, she actually likes watching me play a lot of other games, but hates racing games. Maybe its because they are my favorite and GT is my favorite of favorites.
Getting into that elusive thing I was talking about.

I'm very glad I won't as some, have to compete with her to play GT5.
The only sporting game I have ever gotten her to play is Tiger Woods golf.
She became as good, if not better than me.
We've had many a close match, going down to the last hole at times.
I soon discovered, as is the case most of the time concerning this particular endeavor, that it was better for me, if she won, even if I had to flub a shot at times. Otherwise I still lost.
Just a word to the wise there if you catch my drift.

My girlfriend will be away at her family's for Thanksgiving so I'll have all day to enjoy GT5.

I don't celebrate Thanksgiving. I usually bbq something. Probably smoke some ribs. I'll need to go to the store tomorrow to get supplies.

I've got the day off tomorrow (or today technically) and did have it all to myself. The missus had booked it off too but has plans all day. Unfortunately her evening plans have fallen through and now she wants me to go round hers later and have dinner with her and the inlaws, who are coming over! :grumpy:

Apparently (and this is where women's memories pee me off) I said last week that "I'd have dinner with her parents next week". Well Wednesday night is the only night they're available.

The worst part is I'll then be staying round her house after, knowing I've got GT5 sitting in my PS3 at my flat :scared:

And these wise words could have come, oh...13 or so years ago. My wife was a sega junkie until I came around. Now she will NEVER play a game with me. Oh if I would have only had this wisdom that you speak of those many years ago, I can only think how much different things would be today. :)

Budgeting, my dudes, Budgeting.

24 hours in a day
10 at work(plus goings and comings)
4 hours sleep

That leaves us with 10 hours.

6 with GT5
4 with her.

Shapow! Problem solved.

I've deleted the "fudge or flame" posts. From here on out let's steer away from the junior high school humor, mmm kay?

My wife is a wine tester (sommelier)

Only today I may have troubles with her, on Thursday and Friday she and my sister will be on these so called wine nights and that means that I will have my dinner in front of my PS3.

I feel kindal bad for all you guys having to bribe your gfs into being understanding of a hobby of yours, and something you've been waiting ages for.

Mine just wants me to stop talking about it really. The only thing that could possibly get in the way of me playing GT5 is her requiring the TV for shows, in which case I'll either relocate to the office, or find something else to do.

Like someone else posted, we have a lot of friendly couples we see regularly for dinners, etc... so our home time we really do not mind just doing our own things.

I could never date a nagger (yes I know a South Park reference is tempting here, please refrain =P)

edit: even better? She's a nurse working the evening shift and comes home around midnight, I can have drinking buddies over to play GT5 along with me.

She keeps me happy while I play GT!

serious, she brings me beer and food thats awesome. Two days straight gt5 and now I have to work :(

Not sure about anyone else here, but I may be the only guy here who has another guy as a significant other to keep happy when GT5 ships for me. Strangely enough, though, the same ways to keep him happy is what keeps any significant other happy; to get in some extra cooking, to allow him to join in, and in general be a lot leaner on his wallet than I have been.

We are all friends at GTP :)

I myself dont have a girlfriend, but it is tho close. becuse she contacts me everyday. And today i will ignore here for the GT5 and also our relationship sake. :P haha.

i'm still in a new relationship, about 4 months now. She was a little shocked when she came over and I had a full Alcantara Playseat and new G27 setup a couple weeks ago. At first she didn't take it seriously, she didn't know how much of a big deal this was (even for something as "stupid" as a video game). She is getting MUCH better though...

I'm going to pick up my Collector's Edition this morning, and buying a headphone extension cable. She'll be prepping for my family's Thanksgiving meal and studying for the GMAT. I'll be perfectly happy in my Playseat...

Got her a 3 week old baby boy -- only problem trying to find time to play between nappy changes!!!
