So, how was your day?

Haha drumming is much harder than you think. No offense, but I hate people who say that or at least hate when they say that.

The day isn't even half over but I think it's gonna be a kick ass day. It's my birthday and I have marching band! Normally I would hate it but today we are learning drill and I get to start once again on snare. Sounds like hell to most but I will be surrounded by my best friends at band, and that's a great way to spend my birthday.

I do understand how difficult drumming is... I've done it before. Just in practices of course. Usually I have to completely rearrange the kit because I'm a lefty when it comes to a drum kit. My snare is to the right next to my leg, and a round through the toms will go from top right around to bottom left (in front of the snare). I still keep my high hat to my left, but my ride is next to it (forwards). I still bass drum with my right, because using my left would be impossible due to the high hat. I think my strange arrangement is because I drum freehand rather than crossing my arms over each other. Oh right, I'm a singer, not a drummer. :p These days I'm starting to gain interest in more instruments. I can confidently sing, and I can sort of play drums, bass and piano. Bass is easy because when I played guitar, I played with fingers, so bass suits me fine. I'm getting way off topic here.

Went for an approximately 9km trek through the city today. Seen lots of things you don't usually get to see when you're sitting in the car. Got a different perspective eventhough I've lived here my whole life. Took the same route I used exactly 2 years ago. Subtle changes, but overall the same 2 years later.

Camping at the beach sucked? (bad weather?) I'd love to do that right now...

Anyway, it's Friday. Not much else to say...

The weather was good. It was hot, I got really bad sunburn, everything got sandy too quickly, I wasn't feeling good, and the waves kept me up at night.

Absolutely nuts. One of my part-timers keeled over suddenly and had to be sent home. He literally just sat down, went wooly-eyed and then seemed to fall into a faint. One of the others said that he had been partying all night, no sleep, no breakfast. Suffice to say we had to stop work and escort him back home.
The rest of the day went smooth - though it was a bit of a shock to the others and the mood was more subdued. Nothing like seeing a fellow human incapacitated to realise how frail humans really are.
Just finished the painting of 2 apartments simultaneously - both over 75% done - and due to be ruturned on the 21st, so that's good, it's a deadline I can make even short-staffed.
The guy is in his late teens, and quite the party animal. But hopefully he bounces back quick, and realises his body is not really infallible. He's a good worker, too, and gives a great finish to a lot of the cabinetry, and fixtures, so I'm going to miss him for a while and will have do some of his work myself.
The rest of the day - since we broke up early - has just begun for me; family, food, games, GTPlanet.. . .
:)

Awesome. I went to work and it wasn't a bad day. This rich guy came in with an S65 AMG to get his tires filled and said he was coming in Tuesday with his 458 Italia which means I'll get a ride in it. :D But then my dad gave me a ride in a '90 Mustang that looked almost exactly the the one he used to own. Thing was fast but ride like ****. Had it sideways on this one corner.

I've had a bit to drink, it's two minutes past midnight, I'm watching Taxi Driver and, as well as appreciating some Jackson Browne, I'm trying to decide which I regret more, the things I haven't done, or the things I have done.

Playing video games pretty much all day. Great way to end summer. :dopey:

Hey, I spent the day doing the same thing. I played Madden 12. Turned Rex Grossman into an NFL icon, yes the impossible was achieved . Really easy to win with him at QB when you have the league's best o-line, running backs, receivers, defense. No pressure on him. Yeah, my day has been solid. Got paid 5 dollars to make a sandwich. Cherry Dr Pepper. Nothing else to be said really. :) Happy me = Better me.

I'm GOING to say my nightstand's too bad, just a little unorthodox. Drunker than the wife would like but shes;s mot here!

.. and if the band you're in, starts playing different tunes...

I'll
See
You
On
the
DARK SIDE
of the
MOON

what? this is where the drunk come to sleep, yes?

Great day.
Praticed for a vintage motorcycle race at Mosport.
Found out that it's scary as 🤬, turn 2 and 4 are insane, and Moss corner is really tricky. But fun. :)

Well I am finding out more than 5 hours of sleep late doesn't work well for me.

My day outside that was ok except my ex is just plain nuts. She has started following people on instagram/twitter to try to keep tabs on me, yet I have blocked her on everything including her number/facebook/yahoo and anything else. Word of advice do not date coworkers!

Had band. That was alright. Went to a friends house after with a bunch if people from band and we had a bonfire. Was very fun.

I also almost ran a deer over. Someone hit it and it flew into my lane but it landed on it's feet and ran away.

Your work place didn't have a ban on inter-office relations or whatever they call it?

I work in a hospital with probably 2-3k worth of staff, so doubt it would make any difference. Trust me, if your a male working in a female majority hospital you will be approached or talked about.

Good point. What female wouldn't want to be with a nurse/doctor? (I don't know your title, apologies if I offfended you).

Awkwardly sat with the girl I liked at a Pre-Season football game.

Somehow, I fall for them as regular people, and then they come back from the next summer as really stunning, and I no longer have a chance.

I'm not either lol, but I am a huge fan of nurses ;). Im actually below a CNA on those titles but pretty close to equal.

Another great/terrifying day at Mosport.

It was going pretty good until the last lap of my first race.
Coming down the backstraight at 120mph I began braking for turn 8 when the bike decides to seize and lock the rear wheel, I was able to get the clutch pulled in, in time for me to get the bike back under control.
I was lucky that the runoff was paved, and that it didn't seize anywhere else.
If it had seized at almost any other corner then there is a good chance that I wouldn't have been able to save it and would have wound up in the ambulance. :scared:

But other than that I had an awesome weekend, thanks to everyone at the V.R.R.A for putting on a great event!

Good. I went to a car show and my dad was showin his car so we were there almost all day. Was a nice show. Before the awards were being called me and my brother were watching the traffic go by and saw some cool cars going by. That's about all I reall did.

Great! I watched about 9 hours of anime while my parents went to help my sister move into college. Only bad thing is that when I was helping her load her car, I slipped some and I got a huge cut on the outside of my big toe, which bled for about 10 minutes.

Pretty good day here. Played Gran Turismo 2 and did some searching for hidden stuff (Never know what you might find). After that I relaxed for the rest of the day while drinking a Dr Pepper. I love that stuff.

Returned from vacation yesterday, hung out with a friend until midnight, then today went to the stationery store for buying stuff for school and spent 30€ on that :nervous: And I didn't even get everything I need, forgot the graph paper and triangle... Well that's just 1€ max each so it's fine, school starts in 2 weeks so I have enough time to fix that :)
