Horrible, working ar Walmart during Black Friday. Sales started at 8pm a day early. Give out a few years and it'll start Wednesday.

It was a good day for me. Woke up early (naturally I fell a sleep the night before very early, missed reruns of "South Beach Tow" and "Operation Repo") - took my grandma to the store, she needed one more ingredient for the turkey stuffing.

turkey got baked

Once a year my entire family (1 guest invited, a friend of my mom's husband) sits around the table together to eat, its always on Thanksgivings Day.

Perfect day, now I have to go to work in about 20 minutes. I just hope that work isn't too dirty tonight.

Terrible yesterday.
Yesterday started with no internet as I somehow disconnected it the day before.
Steam are messing me around saying a game I bought has an invalid key. IT WAS NEW AND SEALED of course it is legit. May have entered it wrong as I was very tired. Now works yay. :D

Morning class at college I got told I spent till 1am doing an essay my tutor had not even set.

Tried to do some more required essays in break between lessons but fell asleep.

Found I have 2 weeks to do my history coursework. There goes my chance of an A.

It was ok. My family had a delayed Thanksgiving dinner today because we were too busy yesterday to cook anything. Really, the only reason we did it was so that we can have the best leftovers ever for the next few days. Oh, and one more thing. I heard Gangnam Style on the radio for the first time since it got popular.

Yesterday was awesome. I went into work and was doing some oil changes up until about 10:30, when there wasn't anything left to do. So me and the one other guy who works there worked on stripping an '84 Supra of parts for another one. Only stopped for lunch and to go for a ride in a BRZ which my dad's friend brought in. So worked on that up until the time I left, learned a lot of stuff. Then I ate, showered, and passed out because I was so damn tired.

I'm in Canada so it's not as extreme but still black Friday sales. Online had a lot of great deals. Saw an add for a 3tb drive for only $100. I don't need one now but a deal like that is too amazing to pass up. By the time I was done reading the ad and clicking the link they were all sold out. So disappointing. Had to get a 2tb one for $79 which is still a decent deal. Also bought a ton of various cables and devices. I'm thinking I spent about $200 total and saved closer to $300. Universal stylus with pen, LED flashlight, and laser pointer built in for $4. Oh yes please.

The main thing I can say about my day is:
YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES... YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES...

Reason: Someone heard my song I uploaded to Youtube, really enjoyed it and wants to do their own version (which will be way better than mine, because the vocal was so rushed). Not a cover, it's more a collab. I write it, he makes a few changes I can suspect and releases as something epic. BEST!! DAY!! EEEVAAAAR!!!!

Actually over here, they had it over the entire weekend. I pity the sales staff who work the big boxes, having being there myself; it's a gruelling, thankless job with counter-biological hours, a most routine and mundane form of tedious image streaming, day after day, and with a wage structure that quite often competes with sweat shops, taking into consideration what the wage eventually has in purchasing power.
It's a job, of course, and must, as any job should, be done well - but we've lost sight of the notion that sheer consumerism is not the end product. We've forgotten that our emotional well-being comes primarily from each other -whether via a wave, or a kiss, or an electronic message, or even - dread the thought - actual human contact such as the meeting of the eyes with a smile.
Customers today are ready to trample down somebody to get to something that's five bucks cheaper than on another day. As well - if you scan the sales - most of them really aren't. Customers come in already half-peed from the wait or the crowd. The sales staff, due to the trickle down effect of greed-laced power, are at the bottom of this raging pile, and usually get the brunt of it from both sides - management and customers.
Black Friday? C'mon - we need an excuse to shop?
There are Liquidation and Clearance stores open everyday.

I hung out blissfully at home with my family through the weekend, did some groceries at a store where there was no mention of it in the store Flyer, watched a few races, moved some stuff around at home, and after having glanced at all the Black Friday Ad Flyers from the various Big Boxes and realised that all the sales were scams, threw the bunch into the Recycling.
At least I did my bit over the weekend to give the Retail staff out here a break. :)

Had my first driving lesson that involved driving. The things I learned:

+I'm a worse driver than I thought I was.
+MkV Golf has big A-pillars.
+White lines are not visible in the dark.

Overall I stalled only once (on the very first try) but my footwork needs improvements, I guess that will come with practice, as now it's just basically random pedal mashing and hoping for the best. It wasn't that bad, there was more smooth starts than dodgy ones but to the point where I can do it without thinking about it is still some way to go.

It was good, had a lie in, woke up 11:30am ish I think. Then I went food shopping and my Mum announced she would buy it all, plus pay for a full tank of petrol, awesome :D
Then I went to pick up the Mrs and drove to Bath for the Christmas market, which was really nice. Christmas cheer was in the air and I found a few presents for various people.
Came home and went to my favourite take away for some chicken noodle soup. After we ate we just chilled watching tele and films.
But lately I have been extremely tired even though I'm getting 10+ hours of sleep each night, and not doing anything particularly strenuous during the day. Not sure what's going on but I will see how things go.

I think you can only properly appreciate the Christmas Market as an outsider. Given I live in Bath, it's nice once, but every time you go through town it's completely blocked, with nowhere to park. Fine on the weekdays though. Guess it serves it's touristy purpose well, but for a month or so town is hell on the weekends.

My day was quite uneventful, still trying to sort out Uni places :nervous:

Today was by far the worst day in my life. I feel bad, stupid, frustrated, angry, sad and worthless. I failed my driving test because of some stupid extremely minor mistake after completing two thirds of it, I had to avoid some drunken maniacs in the dark on my way home from music lessons and the used console that I wanted to buy in two days that was still there yesterday has been sold today. Why the hell am I even on this idiotic planet? I feel like I have no business here. How can it be that you manage well, very well indeed up until a certain point but then all of a sudden all your previous efforts become worthless? It's just stupid and I've run out of passion. Guess it's going to take quite a while before that comes back.

🤬.

Currently looking at Tiffany & Co. for engagement rings...
This is so wrong!!! :guilty: Shouldn't be doing this!!!

^ Tiffany is hella expensive. I looked at rings there and some of the mid-ranged ones were the price of a new motorcycle!

Today my finger has gone a funny purple colour after I shut it in a door last night, a fact only made more inconvenient because it's my mouse clicky finger. :(

My day........sucked........
Got accused of nearly breaking a METAL rod, somehow, on a PLASTIC tow truck frame and nearly got sucked into a family business that I want no part of.

My day has been horrible, the cat I've had all my life died :( RIP Nody

I'm sorry, I had to go through that years ago with my first Husky. That's very tough to deal with.

My day was meh. Not as irritable as yesterday though.

So sorry to hear about your loss bro. My respects. :(

As for me... well, it's been an extremely boring and long day... can't wait for saturday!!! I think I'm going crazy

Yesterday was filled with idiots and weird people.

First. Mum trips over the carpet. :dunce:
Second. Stepfather shouts at me when I go and get him because my mum wanted him.
Third. Get on the bus and move towards the back and a guy near the middle sticks out his foot and sticks his elbow in my crotch and says watch where you are going. :odd: Shame I didn't get the chance to punch him.

So idiots and a pervert were what filled my day yesterday.

My day was ok, I asked a girl I like out and she said no which to be honest didn't suprise me but she had a good reason. Once friends found out they all made jokes which also didn't suprise me.

It's friday. Yay.

On another note, noticed my paycheck was short and was told we didn't get paid for Thanksgiving. After some research and help from the employee handbook I showed that we do in fact get paid for that day and so our checks are being fixed. :)

I offer my sincere condolences to you.. Take care! :(

I've had a fairly good day, good pizza and coffee. It's quite cold outside, but at least we're getting some snow instead of rain. Oh and I didn't have to go to an occupation training class because our teacher is sick.

It's Friday! Friday! :)

Other than that... there's not much to be happy about :ouch:... Day has been long and boring... my Saturday's date seems to be ruined... again... :guilty:

Oh yes... I forgot. Payday!!! :)

Well holy cow. A friend of mine dragged me along yesterday to see Florence + the Machine in concert. I've heard some of their songs and found them to be quite catchy, but I didn't consider myself a fan. I just listened occasionally.
I only came along because her parents wouldn't have allowed her to go on her own (I could see why; about 7000 people in one hall and everything was horribly cramped) but boy was it a good decision.
You can't imagine how lively Florence is! The whole band was obviously in peak form and the atmosphere was amazing. She wasn't wearing any shoes yet jumped around wildly, animating the crowd. It was simply brilliant. The fact that she's backed up by an actual band with actual instruments and not a lot of that fancy computer stuff made it even better, because you could hear the passion that the band put into the music. You really couldn't help jumping, singing along and raising your hands and clapping. Even though I was exhausted after 2 hours of loud music, the heat and the large amount of people, it was hands down one of the best evenings I've ever experienced. 👍
