Ouch man that's rough. Hope you can find another job. :nervous:

Eh it's alright I hated working there anyway, I knew I was gonna get fired sooner or later.

At least I can visit fam in America this summer though :D

Yeah! Today I got performed 3 songs for group performance assessment, and I nailed all of them, including my improvisation bits in Silent Lucidity (couldn't get one of the notes in middle voice, and it was sounding weird in head voice, so I just changed the melody on the one line). And tomorrow will be great, the place I've been working at (being tech at gigs), well let's just say that my friends are performing a gig there tomorrow night and I'll be working there. :D They were just on the front of the newspaper for some of their other gigs, so "dis shizzle is gawna b grate!" (translated to English: "Cool")

Passed the second portion of drivers training. Now I just have to pass a road test and wait 36 days until I turn 16! So excited!

And to think, I could only legally drive a Renault Twizy in the UK. With a Moped license.

No thanks :(

^ I'm getting my license Friday, hopefully! :D I had to wait until I got a job, because my insurance is going to be $1000/year, and my mom just can't afford that. I just hope I can. :scared:

Good and bad.

Let's start with the bad. I had a bit of a prang in my car, the damage is very minimal, at the most I will need my front bumper re-spraying. The worst thing is though I rear ended my mother in law! (Don't read too much into that ) I was following her to a local restaurant along roads I have driven along probably hundreds of times. We came up to a round about and I just lost concentration and didn't brake early enough and bumped into her car which was stationary. I was only going 5 or so miles an hour.
There is absolutely zero damage to her car, (thank god) but I still felt like a bit of a tit.

Also my car is making some funny noises. (Completely unrelated to the prang mentioned above, it's been getting progressively worse over the past few weeks.) I think it might be the clutch, when the car is still and idling there is quite a loud whirring noise, but when I press down the clutch it disappears completely.

The good, well I might finally have a job. It's only temporary but it's better than nothing. I hope I will get a call over the next few days confirming it, until then it's fingers crossed.
If I do get it then I will use my first pay check to get the car serviced to fix the whirring noise, and sort the front bumper out.

What car do you own?. My day was pure hell as it was stupidly hot and I was outside all day t cutting faded pink vauxhalls and washing cars from 9 am till 6pm.

2004 Honda Civic Sport. It shares the same front bumper as the Type R which is pretty common, so if needs be I should be able to pick up a new bumper cheap-ish. But it should be a case of just re-spraying it.

Your sound problem could be the clutch and flywheel going as my friend had similar sounds from his civic but it was fixed and its been perfect since.go to a good scrapyard and look for a cheap bumper there.

Today was a good day. I got an idea of about what its going to take to continue my PC build and start getting into iRacing. Even though I'm a few months away yet from actually building it I feel great to have started planning for another project!

Cheers for the advice 👍

Crazy, to say the least. First, the dogs I'm helping my sister watch for a few days woke me up at 5:30 in the morning.

Then, at around 9:15, me and my mother heard a scream from next door. Next thing we knew, the neighbor's car was half way up the lawn of the house across the street. I have no idea of how that happened, I just hope that everyone is ok, since people were in/around the car when it happened.

Then, at around 5:30 this afternoon, a tree fell across the road in a different part of my neighborhood. This provided a huge problem because after a certain point, there is only one way in and out of my neighborhood. Since the tree landed at that cutoff point, people were effectively trapped in or out. It then took a another hour to get the tree cut up into small enough pieces so that it could be taken away.

That should be more than enough excitement for the neighborhood for the rest of the year and then some.

Uncle's dogs went berserk today. Why?

Awe!

Huge storms knocked down trees and poles, power went out, several tornadoes, and golf ball sized hail. Flooded basement, flooded neighborhood, morons driving into the flood, morons getting rescued from now destroyed cars. Yup, crazy day.

You in Toronto?

Well, I slept through a load of lectures after only having 2 hours of sleep and then succeeded in driving the wrong way home. :dunce:

Ok. I'm in Toronto and it was nuts. All my neighbours got flooded basements.
I hope your property is okay!! My kitchen and basement flooded, but I have a five hp sump and had everything dry by morning, plus no loss of personal property. A little hail damage on my truck, but you really have to look hard to see it. I lucked out, I do have to say.

Ya that's good your stuff was fine in the end. I have all my most expensive stuff in my basement and was so worried it would be destroyed but luckily no water at all here. Neighbors on both sides and behind me had water damage so I guess I got real lucky in good construction.

So far having a good lazy day, spent most of the day sleeping or watching TV.

Now I'm getting ready to go to Century Link Field, as I'm going to watch 2 games of the Gold Cup "Panama vs Martinique" (I'm cheering for Panama) & "Mexico vs Canada" (I'm cheering for Mexico).

I'm always worried about forgetting something at home, it would be embarrassing for me to show up at the stadium and forgetting tickets at home <--- for the last 3 days I been having nightmares on this happening to me.

I'm so exhausted. I had such a great time at the stadium, once again both teams I cheered for won!

Its so much fun celebrating the goals with all the fans, and chanting, cheering, and "booing the opposite team" with all the fans. Its so much better than watching football games on TV..... after the games I had to go to work, and with so much walking, going up and down stairs (at both games & work), and having to climb up a hill to get home, I'm tired out. I may sleep in all day Friday if I could.
