Well I've had a busy week, I hope that's okay to talk about here.
I was up north for a week with my parents. We went to Lake Huron, and the Au Sable river. Then Friday my dad and I went trail riding. That was a great ride because I was riding at my best.
Saturday (yesterday) night we were still up north and we decided to go to a track not too far from us where apparently Brad Keselowski used to race. Anyways it was my dad, our neighbor (with his dog) and I. They had a small dirt oval in the middle of an already small paved oval. On that oval they race Derby cars and they get paid if they flip over. That only happened once but a lot of people crashed. There was a lot of good racing on the paved oval. The classes ranged from junk street cars to state of the art modifieds. I'll tell you what, those modifieds were awesome! They sounded so powerful and they were fast. But they weren't the only good races, all of the classes had great racing and a couple of good crashes. However, a lot of oil got spilled, and some cars got stuck together and it took forever to clean up, leaving us there until 12:30 (which was this morning) in the morning. I had to drive home since I was (obviously) not drinking. It was my first time in the dark. We were going through the woods and I was terrified a deer would run out. I saw a few contemplating running but luckily they didn't.
If anyone would like to see video of the racing PM me and maybe I'll put some up on YouTube.
Then I slept for only 7 and a half hours and my friend who has a cabin close to us picked me up. We went canoeing (is canoeing a word?) and that was fun. Then he took me into the woods and he brought a shot gun. I'd never shot a gun before so I was nervous. His dad threw skeet. That gun was loud and I was nervous to shoot it. Now I don't know anything about guns except they probably hurt when they shoot you, but it seemed like quite a gun to begin with. But I shot it. Holy hell there was a lot if recoil, and of course I missed all the skeet. My ears were ringing for a while after. It was fun, but I won't lie it scared me quite a bit.
