getting quite reliable now, for the hell of it i enterd it into a +10 family cup race in an infiniti g35, tuned around 300bhp, the field included a pagani, callaway, cobra and some other supercars, and the lil guy won! i was dead impressed :dopey:

My B Spec driver. Well he is human, because he definitely makes mistakes. I give a B for effort because he does have endurance, but his lap times are weak! He is 25 seconds on avg. slower then me on the 'Ring. He really likes to let off on fast corners that are flat out. His pit stop strategy isn't very strong as well. He'll spend way to much time filling up the fuel or even making a decision on what to do.

But he does get me by...Especially when the races get long and boring because the AI just can't compete.

Mine is called Roy.

He's an ok driver. **** at overtaking. He likes other cars arses for some reason. Sits behind them and sniffs them for a while before he overtakes. Only on about 7000 b-spec points at the moment.

If you think gt fan 2005 and anybody else who pretends there B - spec driver is real and give them a name and ****, is a complete JACKASS, give me a HELLl YEAH!!!!!:sly: :sly: :sly: :sly: :sly: :sly:

If anyone here thinks that Mini_Killer and Puschkin are complete jackasses, give me a HELL YEAH!

These two clowns can't even comprehend a simple and light hearted thread. They feel the need to make scurulous remarks to those folks that want to have a bit of fun.

Well, if I need to, I can shove the AUP and the TOS down Mini_Killer's and Puschkin's throats, but what good would that do?

So if anyone out there wants me to ban Mini_Killer and Puschkin, give me a HELL YEAH!

That's right you two, you are now on my list of those to ban, and I've got an itchy trigger finger.

Tread lightly you clowns.

Now that they seem to be playing with their marbles elsewhere and the thread (which, btw, I am finding entertaining and creative) has gotten back on track (thanks to Slammer 👍 ), I don't really care.

Truth be told, had I not instigated them somewhat, things likely would have settled down quicker anyway. Their remarks just sorta torqued me the wrong way I guess. Sorry.

I told my brother that joke the one guy posted about his driver being named Ed because he is still in Drivers Ed, and my brother quipped "never passed, did he?"

*hands boombexus a "HELL YEAH" or two*

"Eddie" is not getting any better, his points just aren't increasing :indiff: ... But he's at a good skill level now and can go around GVS in an F1 car on "5" for an entire race and not go of the track once so that always good :sly:

My guy is actually pretty damn good.
5483 skill points
72 machine
58 course
48 battle :(
294 b-spec mileage

EDIT: Oh, and a hell yeah from me... because I don't like him. :)

I always just call it the computer. "I had the computer race cause I didn't want to."

Honestly it depends on the car and track and how much I'm caring about it's driving... I usually tell it Push\Overtake and leave it and if it wins it wins if it doesn't I see where it spins out and then fix it. It owns on city courses and some others but Suzuka... it just never could win that without putting it in Fast mode the whole race. Other than that, it doesn't like lightweight fast cars. It loves my Mitsubishi HSR II Concept though. So do I. I put the IROC-Z Wheels on it, hehe.

Mine is called "hopeless idiot" because he manages to lose to Italian FF cars in a Cizeta V16T. He can't win even if I get him the pole position. Only track he manages not to screw up is the Test Course. I can always rely on him getting an admirable 4th or 5th position. About 2000 b-spec points so far. Anyone know what are the maximum b-spec and skill points?

I don't have a name for mine but he's pretty good. Just under 7000 points so far./ He's doing a decent job of the Nurb 24h atm except for missing the pitlane 2 laps in a row and having to run 1/4 lap on the reserve fuel a few hours ago (lost all of my 2 min lead).

whoa fallenone you must be the one with most bpsec points tho id concentrate raising the battles skills there i got more at:
8309 98/84/78

Mine is called f-ing Clod. He does alright on the factory races that I don't want to run. Can't say I trust him enough to run any important race by himself so we'll share the load of the enduros.

whats really strange for me is that he used to be terrible, and then BOOM! hes perfect! it was crazy, but a welcome change. im around 6000

I'm surprised he gets 5th or 6th cause i try driving that thing and man those that understeer. I felt like throwing my controller out the window but then i bought another car and its way better than the cizeta!!!

Oversteer: imposible
Understeer: always
:yuck:

b-spec-4441(40)(35)(23) i think this is pretty close to what the points are, last time i played GT4 was a week ago :( would look at it now but im working

I wish, at the penalty of added weight, that we could take our B-Spec driver out to show him "the line" before he even takes the wheel. I don't care where this happens, track practice, track meetings, or even at a race. If it makes the B-Spec driver better starting out, I'd do it. Another idea would be to have a lead/follow session with the B-Spec driver.

When I was 16 (before I got my license) I took the "Bob Bondurant" course at Malibu Grand Prix in Oakland, CA (place is since gone). That taught me a lot about driving. I also recently worked at an indoor kart racing facility in Santa Clara, CA and learned a lot there. Taking the license tests in Gran Turismo through Gran Turismo 4 have taught me a little; not so much about real life driving, but how to adapt what I know to the digital realm because video games vary.

Just as recently as August of last year I drove my Rabbit GTi at an H.P.D.E. on Sears Point. NASA (National Auto Sport Association) holds these for people to learn how to drive their car on a race track. I was out of group 1 and into group two having driven in only 3 of the 4 sessions total and 2 out of four with an instructor. One session I did a lead/follow session with my instructor and the last session I did not drive in- broken throttle cable. Since I'm in group 2 this next time around I will still go out with group 1 & 2, but I won't be required to have an instructor and can carry passengers.

I think if Sony and Polyphony Digital can incorporate "us" teaching our B-Spec driver how we drive, our driver will pick up on our habits and will also know the basics of driving "the line" at a track. This gets two things done. Whenever we enter in a 24 hour endurance event, we can leave our B-Spec driver to drive about 90-97% of how we drive and will teach the B-Spec driver some things about driving that an artificial A.I. cannot be programmed to understand.

That's a good idea, but in essence you ARE programming him to understand the best racing line. So, I don't see how it would be possible.

I dont have a co-driver yet as I have only just started...

but when I get one I will call him Mini Me! :D

we will own the whole freaking world and not even Austin Powers will stop us!
Mwahahaha

Does any one know if the B-Spec driver keeps on improving the more B-Spec points you get, or is there a point where he`s as good as he`ll ever get? Mine currently has around 6300 or so points & I can`t tell if he drives any better now than when he had zero points.
