I say conservative for these reasons.

1. One of the hallmark issues of conservatives, gun rights, is being treated with caution by democrats. Even the front runner of the doves, Dean, doesn't want to appease the pro control faction.

2. A report the students in colleges are more conservative than previous generations, at least the one prior to theirs. But I think this is based on opinions of issues, not claims of being conservative.

Also, if the capture of Saddam greatly increases the war's popularity, conservative candidates may capitalize on that. Ironically, wars of "liberation" are not what one would presume is a conservative position.

I'm into DVD's. I feel the need to replace every VHS tape I own with a DVD version. I don't know why. I don't really even watch all the needless bonus footage. Maybe it's because they're so much more sleek and sexy than a VHS tape...and we're back to sex again. Damnit.

Same here, but it comes with a subwoofer and a five disc CD/DVD changer. Right now I have some ten year old speakers that I couldn't be happier with . . . well, maybe a little happier. I'm just tired of my PS2 controller being the remote when I watch movies.

Oh, understandable. A multi-disc player comes in handy for tackling those 20-lap PD Cup series.

I have a collection of 10-to-20-year-old audio/video equipment that I can't bear to part with. A crappy Apex DVD player is part of the mix, old 3" speakers, a noisy turntable, two worthless tapedecks that can't record squat...and a 25" TV that weighs as much as a sofa.

I swore to myslef I'd rid it all by year's end...it's just taking up precious space...

Is that the panasonic one on bestbuy.com? it was like 500 bucks and now it's only 299? I bought that one. 5 speakers + subwoofer. 5 disc dvd-cd changer, tape deck, stereo, mp3 player and built in dolby digital decoder. All that to go with my neww bigscreen tv and my brand new PS2 and GT3. It's going to be a very merry christmas indeed. (now all I need is to pre-order GT4 and halo 2) All thats missing is a GTR in the driveway. 2007 should take care of that issue.
