So what kind of lap times are people getting on Tsukuba Circuit?

Im curious to see how accurately PD has modeld the the Tsukiba Circuit. And would like to get some hot lap times in for comparison.

So, post your lap time, car, and tires used.

um i used the r34 jgtc car and managed to get a 00:00:54:00 as best. can be improved upon i guess. but will take some skill to match tsuchiyas 51:9. excluding use of F1 cars.

These are my times from Prologue

Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec II Nür 1:06.737
Nissan Xanavi nismo GT-R 0:49.867
Toyota WOODONE Tom´s Supra 0:50.155
Honda Takata Dome NSX 0:52.015

Skyline times are on Street Tires, should be pretty accurate! (Wasn't pushing it yet though, i've seen times on the german database of high 1.04's)

BMW M3
1.02.xx on S2
1.04.xx on N3

BMW M5
58.78 on S2
1.01.xx on N3

I forgot the other times for the japanese cars, but i do member that the M3 ran faster times than the 350Z, Skyline, s2000, Sti, NSX (not Type R) on the same tires, contradicting the results on best motoring.....i know it's a video game but GT4 is suppose to be accurate when it comes to real life lap times, i think they were like 1 percent off from real times

my point was that i heard that best motoring was a little biased when it came to domestic cars (japanese cars) and here's some invalid proof :)

Hmm, the N3 tires seem to be the closest as it comes to GT4:P times, still with the M5 your still faster then anybody else in the german GT4:P time database. I think they may have adjusted the grip level for the tires (there are also alot more options in GT4 ofcourse)

plus, wasn't the M5 in GT4P the concept version?

With a Toyota Supra Woodone I managed to get 50.730 , it's in Prologue with racing tires ;)
Imagine how great it would be tuned a little bit :)

No, i expect cars like the Sauber to get super fast lap times.

But GT500 JGTC cars shouldent be able to lap faster then the HKS EVO. Infact they should be about the same.

Maybe its just the way the game calculates contact patch on the tires.

Dunno.

Kinda fishy on the sub 55 sec times though.

well i don´t have Gt4 but i think prologue is "nearly" the same on this track(TCS on / ASM off)
:
i had 0:48:352 with Mc Laren F1 GTR Long Tail
and 0:49:714 with Xanavi Nismo GTR ´03
and 0:50:188 with Woodone TOM´S Supra ´03
and something with over 0:52:xxx with the takata Dome NSX ´03

totally true :)

does the non concept version have even more bhp?

from what i read, a few articles said 498, and a few just estimated 500.....but the production M5 is confirmed at about 508

ryosuke, i'll test more of the JDM's right now, give me a minute

did you feel the same by driving that mclaren, every time i stood on the throttle it was like "WOAAAAAAAAAH BRAAAKEEEEE"

scary as hell, much fun though with the dfp :)

The mclaren is sliding pretty well in the corners. I found it fun tought.
I did never drive it so much so my time is around 50 secondes with it around Tsukuba.

SS Ares, ilooked up the times onmy records (forgot you could do that), the M5 with N3's, i got a lap time of 1.01.794, i probably could shave a little more off (maybe like .5 off), but i applied the brakes a little late on turns one and four

oh yeah, the lap times i do, TCS and ASM are off, and it's a hot lap (one lap), i find the ghost distracting trying to beat it, so i just do hot laps

My time in Prologue with McLaren is 47.552....it's still a good time at gtde :)
That's the fastest I could go on Tsukuba, can't wait for GT4 to try some Lemans and F1 cars! 👍

nice, they added a little bit more grip to the "street" tires. The M5 is defenitly a very fun car to drive around that track :)

What's N3, LFRANCOF483 ?

GT4 gives you a choice of tires, N designates stock tires (not sure), but N1 is economic, N2 is comfort, and N3 is street, S1, S2, S3 are like sport tires, and R1 - R5 are racing tires, if you want real life lap times, do laps with S3 tires...

sorry, i ate lunch, and did a lap with the M3 and M5, i'll do the JDM's right now

M3 1.04.456 N3
M5 1.01.211 N3

definately, especially with the N3 tires, the street tires give the M5 the most controlable slide....if i want to screw around i put N2's the the back and N3's in the front of the M3, drift crazy 👍

Wow, nice!

ok, did a few, bare the quick review, all of these JDM's ran on N3 tires, one lap unless otherwise stated

NSX 1.05.453
had to use the Acura NSX cause i haven't unlocked the '04 Honda NSX, i only have the '90 honda NSX, had to run three laps to get a good time

Skyline GT-R 1.04.767
Not the V-Spec II, the Skyline has very good braking, i had to run a second lap cause in the first lap, i applied the brakes way too soon for this car

Lancer Evo VIII MR 1.06.915
I was surprised with the outcome of this, Best Motoring always has the Evo come out on top...anyway, the Evo MR has massive understeer, every time you go on the gas, it understeers heavily during a turn, even a slight turn...but it is somewhat controlable....it also has heavy roll, dive, and rear squat..but one good thing about the Evo MR, it has VERY good braking, even better than the Skyline, you can brake really late, but, with the heavy understeer, you also had to step on the gas really late out of the turn as well....so it evens out....so this is a good car to pass other cars in a braking duel. I had to do 3 runs

RX-7 Bathurst R 1..04.913
I was hoping to run the Spirit R, but haven't unlocked it yet....but the RX-7 was the most controllable one of the JDM's, very good cornering and braking....well balanced

350Z (Z33) Limited Edition 1.05.030
surprised at this outcome, maybe the limited edition has better suspension or something, but this car was also very well balanced and handled almost as good as the RX-7, it just had very little untersteer

any other JDM's?
