what were you like at school? as in, your behaviour, grades and attitude etc. :)

Im easily the best in my science class, but i havent got the attitude to match it :(, same with maths and english.

what about YOU?

It's been so long since I've been in school, I don't remember. Or something like that.

I was always partial to math and science (chemistry in particular). I was damn good, too. I didn't have to try to get good grades until I went to college. That's a whole different ballgame.

I work hard in the subjects I'm good at. Overall, the stuff I find hard gets very little effort from me (e.g all through year 7, 8 and 9 I made NO effort in History because it just didn't click). Chemistry and French mainly. I'm best in English, Graphics and ICT (Which leads me nicely into English Language, Graphic products, ICT and Media studies for A level). I'm just about meh for everything else, including Maths, Physics, Biology, Geography etc.

Don't even get me started on Homework.

I act like I'm the dumbest guy in the class, until everyone sees my test scores and everyone asks for help. Only class where I am truly the dumbest guy is art class, I failed at that miserably. I do fairly well in my other classes despite my 'I don't give a **** attitude'.

Don't even get me started on Homework.

What is this homework you speak of Jon?

I used to be pretty good at graphics, but during the last year I took it I didn't get on with my teacher at all and I didn't take it for GCSE. I got an E in music instead. :indiff:

I enjoyed physics and computing the most pretty much from the start of secondary school, and I'm taking them at A level with english and maths. :)

I tend to be pretty lazy with homework, although that's slowly starting to change.

I am the lone polymath, though acquainted with many. I try to set a good example with my conduct as far as being silent and polite and behaving appropriately, and I make being nerdy a good thing.

As you can see, I use the internet to counter and balance my reserved nature in (what is supposed to be) the place of learning. I respect institution, unlike a lot of my peers.

In high school I was, well, fine with all subjects, and did my work – my cumulative academic GPA was a 4.45. The only subject I truly struggled with was AP Physics C (calculus-based physics for engineers), although I guess everybody struggles with that. I landed a “B” both semesters for that class.

My favorite subjects were always the maths and sciences; I had some interest in English, but absolutely none in history. I was a nice, polite student, as you’d expect.

So far, college has been the same story for me, although I have to work quite a bit harder for the grades (but so does everybody).

Me? Good Grades, sketchy homework, fair attitude.

And a desire to piss of the kid who thinks he's tough, but he's only an ass. :D

I did forget to add that, i too, am like TS, and im also a cocky git, even to the teachers, I really push my lukc sometimes, but i know im one of the best if not the best in my class.

I really should concentrate more....

Average class work (C on average), no homework done after year 8, a good student behavior-wise, only ever received about 5 detentions (all from P.E after as I refused to do it for 3 years, after 2 the teacher just gave up) and I had one hell of a lot of fun with friends. We defaced and destroyed quite a few pieces of school property and created entertainment for ourselves at break and lunch.

I sucked at deadlines as well. I handed in all my maths coursework the day it had to be marked and sent away, 4 months after the deadline.
Did the same with ICT.

I rarely turned up for school, well I turned up but after form registration I kind of left the premesis. Something I don't adbvise any of you to do, I had a lot to make up for in college, which I mangaed to do, but it did mean hared work than it would have been had I just gone to classes and paid attention.

I was good at Science, Business studies, English literature, Art and PE. Average in the rest..I was always late in for afternoon registration with my mates because we were always playing football till after the bell went..

Right now: OK grades could be better, too busy having fun with friends and checking out the women. ;)

Lol, i got better grades then most of our class´s so called "nerds", but my behaviour number was the worst in our class. :dopey: Im noisy, arrogant etc.

Straight A's FTW.

Ironically, I'm extremely talkative and hardly ever pay attention. I get "smartass" and "born genius" alot from people :D.

Through Elementary/Junior High/High School I had very good grades (among top 2 or 3 students in my class) and got by with minimal studying. I played on many sports teams, had lots of friends, and went to lots of parties

Then came university. I got direct entry into the Engineering Department due to my high marks in highschool. After my 1st term here, my GPA was a lowly 2.35. If I remember right, I think my highest mark that term was a B, the rest were C's and C+'s.
Now, after 5 years in university, my GPA has risen back to around a 3.2 (B or B+ average), but it took a lot of work after my horrible first year. I spend at least 3 or 4 hours per day studying. I no longer play any sports, and my social circle has gotten significantly smaller - I only keep up with one of my friends from HS and consider myself to only have 4 really close friends. I do still find time for parties, but since I live in a dorm my roommates don't usually give me the option of staying in.
It's been quite a reversal.

In high school I was way to busy going to parties and getting laid. I never was an academic standout until late into my senior year. Had to start getting serious since college was around the corner. In class, I wasn't loud and I wasn't quiet. I sat with a group and we pretty much did our own thing when not on an assignment.

A's and B's here.

I have an attitude, a ' dirty ' mind, ' dirty ' jokes. Like we'd be in class and say that the teacher wants to talk to this girl, and jokingly, I'm like yeah, I already talked to her last night. And it's just corny jokes like that. I talk too much sometimes too. Other than that, LAIDDDDDDDDDDDDD BACK.

That really works? *Takes mental note*

Yeep, same. All through last year I made them all at the last minute, and the same this year aside from physics which I handed in late.

Business studies

Ahh Business studies. That's the one lesson nobody pays much attention in.

A's and B's. Like the rest here, I'm a math and science student. History and French are also easy. Never have been an English student. I have yet to get an A in an English class.

I tend to be quiet in class and get the good grades on the tests. Luch is a little different. Locking kids in the bathroom and bugging the "lunchroom nazi." Hehe.

me too, ^.^

my freind was tlaking to the soccer ref:

ref: good game!
freind: yeah? your wife was a better game last night

etc.

all day long:dopey:

edit: 2 PAGES IN 4 HOURS :D

Back in the day, like through elementary school and middle school I was in that group of kids that always answered everyone elses questions. The smart kids. It was uaully straight As through middle school. In high school my grades started slipping, and that's the place where I failed my first class. It was mostly Bs and Cs through high school, and that I'm not poud of, but my attitude didn't relaly allow me to do better. I was always well behaved, quiet, and reserved, but I never did try to ask for help when I wasn't doing well. My dad never did either. I never needed help before the last couple years of high school, so I was determined to do well on my own, but it never worked out.

I also had an interest in my subjects, but that didn't really show in my work. Like my interest in physics--a friend and I would always talk with the Famine-esque teacher about physics related things that we weren't learning in class. I didn't want to calculate how far a marble would go if you threw it at x speed. I was asking questions like "If you're pulling a piston through a cylinder and creating a perfect vaccuum behind the piston, why can you still pull the piston? If there was no spot for the air to wiggle into the cylinder, then how is it possible to keep pulling the piston? Shouldn't it stop because of the vaccuum?" My point os that I was interested in things related to the class, but not part of the class. And therefore I did crappy. Oh well. (there's the attitude, )

Hehe, I have one rather vivid memory of coursework:

That's 7.16pm, the night before the work was due in. :scared: I re-did my entire Stats coursework in about 5 hours and still got an A.

Damn, school (of any kind) was many years ago.
As far as school performance, I was pretty much middle of the road.
In High School, I carried mostly B's and C's. A's if it was something I really enjoyed or didn't have to work to hard for.
After marriage and the military, I changed.
I graduated from College *** Laude (3.3-3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale). I was able to carry mostly A's from my Sophomore year onward.
Nursing School about kicked my butt. But then in Nursing School a 75% is a failing grade. I believe my overall average from Nursing school was about 80%.
However, when I took the test for my license, it was/is possible to have to take as many as 225 questions or as few as 75. The computer program will cut off at the point it "knows" you will pass or fail. I only took 81 questions.
The bad part is, the computer will NOT tell you if you passed or failed. You find out in 3-14 days when you either get your license in the mail, or a notice that you failed.

Socially, I fit into pretty much every group. I had nerd friends, jock friends, band friends, cowboys, stoners, drunks, and the girls from the choir.
in point of fact, I was usually the designated driver for the stoners & drunks.

Nearly the same but im only starting High school:tup:

 Ironically, my behavior is similar.
