Some dirty driving.

Get your DR up.

I'm a C going on for B (I tend to find myself in more B filled lobbies than C filled lobbies these days) I'm getting faster all the time.
My Manufacturer race the other day was all B except me and one other C, and it was one of the dirtiest races I've been in, outside the top 5 I was the only person with a blue S at the end, more than a few red A's at the end.

So improving DR doesn't really help that
much either clearly.

Really wish we could report people.
You can.

Hit up the GT Logo in the top-left corner, pick My Menu. Go to Friends, then Current Session.

Find the avatar/name of the player in question, hit that, pick the (...) in the top-left corner and select "Report".

I don't think that there's a specific option for "driving like a muffin", so you may have to get creative - but you can report people.

I don’t think you can automatically assume he was trying to take you out. It looks like he’s still recovering from his slide. Lots of people think more throttle is a good thing during a slide.

You didn't watch the vid till the end did you? Maybe the first incident could be excused, but the ramming me across the line was no accident.

I’m not saying it’s always gonna make a difference but for me, DR-A I feel like it makes a bigger difference than high SR lobbies. It’s easier to mess up DR and harder to get it back up.

I can imagine you are right in that regard, it takes a lot of commitment to get to A, so most people that get there are not gonna be muppets. Whereas it's easy to get SR S, far too easy.

That’s kinda my take on it exactly. It’s too easy to manipulate SR. Destroy it one race just to win or gain a few places just to get it back up in a race or two. But DR takes much longer and muc more discipline to gain. I hate losing either honestly. I enjoy the crowd I normally get matched with, everyone is fast, talented and fairly clean. I hate racing against lower tiers because I feel like they are just out to win which to me isn’t true racing. Sure everyone wants to win but I’d rather win by being clean and professional.

Don’t sweat it, he won’t be S for long.
1) He most likely will be SR S still as its too easy to attain and hold even while using dirty tactics. Its not as if he started driving dirty once he got to S, these drivers are dirty from the start, they're just more tactical about it and have found the ways to exploit a broken system.

2) Even if he was to lose his SR S there's thousands of other drivers in SR S that pull this crap all the time and it shouldn't be so common in the higher SR's, the system needs fixing. No one sweats it over one driver, this is just one example of what's happening all the time, that's the bigger issue that needs fixing, no one in their right mind would start a thread like this if these incidents were few and far between.

PD need to switch this around or make SR just as hard to increase as DR, would solve almost all of these issues.

Penalty system was better in GT6/GT5 . In this game , it feels wrong . One guy ass kicked me all the time in one race and he wasn't penalized at all .

Reminds me of a race I had just after the game came out. Dude did the exact same thing but managed to run me into the pits, he hit the wall (you can see him ghosted on the track) , and I ended up getting my first win in pit lane :D good times

Today/tonight's racing with the GR4 group at Interlagos is brutal! I started the race as a B/S ended first race as a C/S and then the 2nd race as C/A. All penalties were from other racers tapping the back inside corner of my car, or just plain ramming in the back and forcing off the track.

I was just 2 seconds off the pace of the A/S drivers, so wasn't slow or a moving chicane!

I should have quit during the warm up of both races when most people were treating it like an actual race. It was like a demolition derby! WTF peeps, it's a warm up, stop dive bombing and ramming others off the track, it gets you absolutely NOWHERE!

The same with 10 lap races where people drive the first lap like there life depends on it! Ramming not braking cutting corners etc etc

Often i start top 5 end of lap 1 iam 14th or higher end over the finish as p2 or p3. Just relax and sometimes accept your not fast enough, but hey thats hard for people haha

Every race I've been in at interlagos has been bad. I'll be avoiding it in sport mode from now on. It's a difficult circuit to perfect and that means it makes for pretty bad racing. Even in F1 there's always plenty of accidents at interlagos.

I had quite a good race at Interlargos today, Got 2nd place and had a really good battle all race with the guy who got 3rd, He tapped me abit hard into turn 1 on the 3rd lap but acknowledged his mistake and and backed off a few car lengths. I forgot his name but I really enjoyed that little fight.

I wouldn’t bother with the daily race at interlagos today. It’s an absolute crash fest. Tbh it’s horrendous. My ratings have gone from B B to D E in 2 races. I had this last weekend so I do suspect it’s has a lot to do with the general age of people on there at the moment with it been weekend and kids not in school. Childish and ruinous behaviour is an understatement from some of this lot today

Interlagos was insane. Went from 6 to last before half of one lap was complete, and something similar on my second attempt.
Got out of there and went back to Nurb GP, which was pretty much a crap shoot as well, but, at least i know that track better.
Now, I get when someone goes for a spot, and contact may happen. I'm ok with that, someone racing me, I watch my mirrors and if someone has a run or pokes their nose in I'll just give them the line, better to loose a spot and race it back than ruin a race because "the rules say"...

Having said that, the amount of people that would literally change their line last minute in order to hit me was unbelievable. One in particular;

Started on pole and had the dreaded run down to the first chicane. I deliberately went down the middle... I left a full lane+ inside, and the entire track to the preferred side... 2nd place takes the outside, perfect, 3rd comes screaming down the inside, good, lots of room for him to shoot past... and at the last second when he realizes he's way to fast, swerves out of his line and into the back of me... I don't know how to upload, but I had to watch it again and again. Good news is he must have done something to 2nd as well, because they got into it and Mr. Punt got wiped off the track hard into the sand, bye bye. I was running 2nd down but with 4 laps... anyways, got the win due to 10sec penalty on car that started 2nd.
In another race I got wrecked early (pretty common) and was trying to catch back up when I went by a car going slow, figured he was doing a "build my SR run", very next corner punt... catch him back up, he's going slow, I go by, very next corner, punt... this lasted for 3 laps. It was comical. After the first 2 or 3 I realized there was nothing to be done, and just tried to take as fast an entry as possible hoping he'd miss me, but this gut was quick and had some talent.
Wow.

I had a good one last night. Last corner on the last lap of Dragon Trail in the one make race. I had a good run on 6th place coming out the final corner when he blatantly moves across to block me. He made contact which slowed us both down. I move to the other side of him to feint another pass and once again he aggressively closes the door. However, I'd predicted his move and quickly change to the right. By this time, he is too far to the left to hit me again and I take 6th.

The ironic thing is, if he didn't try for the second block after hitting me, he probably had the speed to out-drag me to the line.

Seconded, I've never had a Sport race at Interlagos, where I haven't finished with white or red SR rating at the end. All caused by other's actions.

Compared to the Brands GP race on Friday where I managed to up my DR and was in the top 4 in most races (not bad for the GT-R with it's nerfed straight line speed). I only had one incident where an idiot in a Genesis deliberately slammed into me on the last corner on the first lap and I dropped down to 14th. He span out a lap or two later and by the time I'd hoovered up places from spinners and ghosts I clawed back up to 8th.

What were you driving?

Hi everone!
Can someone explain what happend here?? It looks like lag, but the Jaguar clearly is slowing down, not flickering or disappering...

Hahaha man, what a fool it Looks like he tried to serve a penalty and in a last try to not lose his position he did what he thought it would be smart to do in that situation not knowing that he‘ be ghosted , great stuff and the background music suits it perfect just an epic scene lol

Just a shortcut about my experience in Sport Mode. So far I have finished 458 Online races(yes I play a lot) and I have seen pretty much any dirty behavior you can imagine. I am almost half way through Dr A and have Sr S, and since I promoted to Dr A beeing matched with many A Drivers I can say that most of them drive very respectfull, but still you get the occasional bad apples so my hint is, if you encounter that someone is driving very aggressive and wants to make the pass no matter what it costs, just be smart and let him pass. Anticipate his ruthless behavior like pushing you wide or forcing you off your ideal line and you‘ll be fine. Dive Bombers are easy to avoid by just back off in the brake zone and let them slip through in 99% they‘ll miss the apex or hit the wall and you will pass them with a smile on your face leaving them off track knowing that they were just been led in your trap. Great for your Karma. The best thing to gain Positions is to keep the pressure on someone up, sooner or later they‘ll mess up and you will pass. I encounterd that many drivers won’t have a constant race pace so the longer the race you‘ll probably pass even the faster drivers. But because of the short length of many daily races it often ends in a hot lapping throughout the whole race where everybody tries to win. Once I got to Dr A it got better because people know constant race pace and waiting for others doing a mistake is the key for overtaking. While increasing Dr at this stage is very slow nobody wants to make a mistake and races are more civilized it’s the small mistakes that decide between winning or losing and races are more tactical.

Near carbon copy happened last night. Really wish we could report people. Can't stand these losers.

Lots of turds like this on the short 4 lap races, which is why I avoid them for the most part. Sometimes when it happens to me I "accidentally" do the PIT maneuver on them. woops
