i never really thought about it either but yeah your definately right. THeres a place called liberty city somewhere near NYC isnt there? (btw near for me means within 100miles).

No. But in all previous games, New York was called "Liberty City." Likewise, "Vice City" was Miami, and L.A. was known as "San Andreas."

I tried to get the people on GameFAQs to believe that the next GTA3 would be called Vice City, but they wouldn't believe me. Oh, well.

I just always thought Liberty City was some made up city by Rockstar or DMA Design or something. I just play the games I dont think about them more deeply than that.

GTA Vice is it's own game, and it's coming out in October(info from Gamepro Mag).

and ViceCity is Miami, remember the show Miami Vice? Makes sense to me.

I want a GTA Arch, for ST.Louis lol. and put a hidden package at the top of the arch. It would be an interesting game...

It was modeled after NYC. Portland is like Staten Island, Staunton is like Manhattan, and Shoreside is like Queens.

man, I really wand a GTA3 Tinseltown or something, it could have downtown LA, with little tokyo and Chinatown, westside, with Beverly and Hollywood, and valley, with studio city, burbank, van nuys, etc. you could even go to a universal studios style theme park.
