Please try to stay on topic. rFactor has nothing to do with this thread.)

And neither do you. i dont know what your problem is but you seem to have this thing about hounding us this last couple days and to be quite honest its getting annoying. I know you have the all important job of controlling the AUP and all but give us a break.

As for you deleteing my post it has everything to do with this thread this is a drifting team and my subject was drifting as far as i knew gtp wasnt against other race simulators.

Whens the PSN going to be back up and running!! Getting pissed off about now lol.

So the team drift battle isn't happening any more and either is the D1 torney from what ive gathered. These time zones aren't making torny's easy.

Im thinking of starting an AUS/NZ torny so that there will comps like every week or something. I assume all of us will take part and hopefully we can get other Aussie's and NZ's we see online to join up.

Ill see what happens. I just want some competitions to take part in instead of waiting weeks/months and then the thing folds in the ass.

aus/nz drift comp sounds good

My problem is the constant breaking of rules. You agreed to the AUP when you signed up, yet you, and many others seem to think you get to decide when to follow it. Mods go where we are needed. This team thread has had it's fair share of problems, many rules have been broken, and even one or two have been banned.

This is not an average number for such a thread. It is well above.

*sigh*

This thread is in the GT5 Drifting Forum. We have a specific rFactor thread, where your post would have fit nicely. As it is, it doesn't have anything to do with GT5, or this team. It's hard to imagine how much farther off topic it could have been (rhetorical question).

Also, your above post is one run on sentence. Please use proper punctuation in your posts, as per the AUP. This is an international forum. Many of our members do not speak English as a first language, so we all need to do our part to make sure everything is legible.

Furthermore, jumping all over a mod for enforcing site rules isn't going to get you far. Follow the rules and you should never even know we're here.

;)

ok, so why do we need the attention of 3 mods? isnt one to enforce everything in one thread enough?

We're not omnipresent...

We have jobs, lives, kids, etc... We do our best to keep on top of things, but we can't be online all the time.

Years ago, when I was made a mod, it was for the GT3 Drifting Sub-Forum (due to my experience with drifting). So, I tend to check up on the drifting specific areas more than some others might.

;)

OK, so, do all the mods in a section collaborate on what each other is doing/has done or do they work solo if you know what I mean?

This isn't really the place to discuss this.

I'll answer your question, but then this thread needs to get back on topic...

We have our own forum, where we talk to each other and try to keep abreast of any news and/or problems we should be focusing our attention on. If we notice someone has been dealing with an issue for some time we generally will let them deal with it, unless it gets out of hand, and they are having trouble (time constraints, angry mob, etc...).

Now, I know it's slow right now (with PSN down), but try to stay on topic guys. If it isn't about GT5 drifting, or this team, leave it in your head for now.

Hopefully the PSN servers will be back up soon, and this team can get back to good Ol' online slidin'.

;)

Thanks for the informing, Delphic. Back on topic..

800 for me so far

Well I managed to drift my 1000hp viper round Suzuka and Tsukuba on comfort hards last night. Talk about throttle control.

I'll give you a cookie if you do it at Eiger with the rain on. 👍

That is the ultimate way to master throttle control.

On my way to eiger right now. Bring on the rain, and real track grip.

Nice, I'd join you if PSN was working.

Yea we really should do a wet drift sesh once PSN is back up and running.

Just tried 1000hp dodge and the best I could achieve on Eiger wet was 23,592 points. Feels like your not moving

My best is 25769. Comfort hard tyres, real track grip. Less than 50% throttle for most of the track.

We should make this a little challenge while the Psn is offline, 1000hp+ viper on Eiger wet.
Winner gets a s2000 gifted by me?
Closing date next Friday?

If this is all good with the mods of the team forum

so no one is interested in being my team mate for the aus nsx race tournament??

From what I can tell PSN's going to be down for some time yet... So I'm really glad I'm on holiday now rather then at a peak drifting time

So.... Um... Yea good luck with the wet Eiger runs. Some of you may remember my first crack on a moist Suzuka D1, even my Trueno had too much power on CH's

I'm pretty impressed with the car culture of Melbourne BTW, plenty of silvia's, skylines and I even saw an Aston Martin dealership packed to the brim with DB9s'

some of us dont need luck to run in the wet on comfort hards, we have pure skill. I also did suzuka D1 layout, Too easy.

I'm sure I'll get their, but I've only wet drifted once (yes with you guys on Suzuka) and it takes a lot of practice to figure out what is too much throttle in the wet and understeering is always a possibility.

No doubt you have "pure skill" though Geti, from what I here your pretty handy going sideways... Too bad our internets are incompatible so I can't see for myself :(:(:(:

Yea, stupid network BS. In all Honesty, all it takes is, as you said, Getting used to how much is too much. Also when and where to plant the throttle and when to ease off and take it gently. Is all just a fine art, Like Dry weather drifting, only with less grip.

It's boring without PSN.

Fix it already you slackers!! Come on now, "External intrusion" what the heck..? Nice and secure ain't it? Disgusting management and lack of brains Sony, congratulations to Sony Computer Entertainment for Winning the Coveted Brainless Idiots of the year award.

I now present you with your trophy.

Another Epic fail: Porshe owners club had a race at the mount today, now, 2 fails in this, 1) There was a RX-7 in the race, and 2), there was a porshe Cayenne turbo S, why would you race a cayenne against a field of 911's?

Good One, Heath.

 Okay why did a ricer turn up to a Porsche Track Day? Oh em gee.

I'd be so embarassed.

But yea, they had all lined up in the pitlane and due to the high walls, you could only see the top of the roofs of all the cars (Apart from the Cayenne cause its a tall bulky 4WD) And you could here all the porsche engines revving then all of a sudden a rotary howl comes from the pitlane, me and dad just look at each other then watch as a RX-7 appears from pit lane. twas quite bizarre. Also saw an S15, pity it wasnt drifting...

Stupid PSN crap, all because someone hacked into it.

yep..
So what will happen?

Sony wont drop the chargers against these 2 guys for hacking their system, so does this mean the hackers will keep doing DDOS until Sony drops the chargers?

If thats the case then we have a very expensive paper weight sitting on our desks lol

How weak is that? If someone can hack into it, one has to wonder about privacy and security of personal information. If these hackers some how obtain my personal information through this, who do I sue? Sony? Come on, this is as weak as it gets, you'd think for such a massive, regularly used online community (or whatever you want to call it) they'd have it so damn secure no-one outside of Sony can access or hack it.

Just not good enough, and I'm guessing someone within SCE has a "Please Explain".
