See what I've been dealing with for the past 5 months?! Just stick with it, it'll take a week or 2 to get used to it, but when you are able to drift with a wheel it's much more rewarding.

yeah im messing with settings on one car to see how i need to set them up compared to the ps3 controller

Do keep in mind though that you'll never be able to get as much angle as with the DS3, you just can't countersteer quick enough, and if by some small chance you do, you can't get the wheel back to the center again once you get out of the corner. My friend used to always say I'm bad at drifting and i never get any angle, that was until he got a G27, now he understands why.

LOL yeah i have noticed that. thats what im trying to sort out so it still drifts just with less counter steer.

You've noticed what? That i suck at drifting :guilty:

LOL no i ment the not being able to counter fast enough. which is kinda crap cause u can do it in real life and the car doesn't snap back like it does ingame.

Yeah, if you've ever watched an in car video of Mad Mike you'll see that the wheel snaps back at you, and it doesn't in the game.

I dispute this lack of angle business. I may only have a DFP (stop laughing) but i can hold quiet a nice angle (way better then with the DS3).
If you have seen SAI-66's videos or have ever drifted with him you will know for sure that the angle can be obtained with a 900* wheel.

I do however agree that the wheel doesn't behave entirely realistically.

DFP, isn't that 200*? 900* is much much harder to use. 1 guy though. I've never seen someone get as much angle consistantly as a DS3, maybe for a corner or 2 but for a whole lap, no way!

Guys, I've applied for that Virtual Drift Circuit championship, so I really need to get some practise with drifting, whats a good drift track? Apart from Tsukuba and Autumn Ring?

i would just like to be able to change how many degrees u turn the wheel. thats one reason why i like NFS shift... cause u can adjust ur wheel no matter when one u have.

Yeah I know you can adjust it in Shift, but that game is so horrible. Drifting is ridiculas as well

^^ That is why i have a DFP & not a DFGT. I bought the DFP for GT4 and used it for practically 3 years straight, loving every moment. Unfortunately my GT4 disc broke so the wheel wet into safe keeping (under my bed). Then i got a PS3 & GT5P and i welded up my own wheel stand, and cranked out the DFp. The whole time i was using it for prologue i was considering buying a DFGT, but found out that they removed my favourite feature of the DFP. At any time, with the flick of three buttons i can turn it from a 900* wheel to a 200* wheel. My next big money grabber will undoubtedly be a G25/7 or Thrustmaster, as i see no point getting a wheel without a H shifter.

You may think this is ignorant & that the DFGT is leaps & bounds above a DFP but i tried a DFGT when looking at them and the difference wasn't that noticeable. You may be able to fiddle with the RA menu, but sitting a DS3 next to my wheel has the same affect anyway. You may also think that the 900-200* switch feature isn't that great, but it taught me how to drift in GT5 and it is very handy if a car im racing online with has snap oversteer that causes a spin with the usual 900*. Just change the roatation and watch yourself climb the positions.

/big rant with a lot of abreviations

Total abbreviations. 18!

I was really surprised that the DFGT didn't include it TBH, i assumed they would have carried it over...
