Edit: as for the backing track to our team video i was thinking the "this is an ad...." beer commercial would be sweet. It is sooo australian, fun and has obvious beats making my job easier ;)

Have you tried clearing network cache? that does help.
 
I dont exactly know how it helps, i just know it does. To clear you go into Options>network/clear system cache.

Just found out what the issue is. Need to enable UpNp on my router. Now i just need to find out what the hell UpNp is an how i enable it...

check your cofig settings on router, shouldn't make a difference though.

is your ps3 in the routers DMZ zone ?

DMZ zone? The router says UpNp is enabled, but my PS3 doesn't think so....
These acronyms are doing my head in:ouch:
I just hope this DMZ thing is the problem and you can help me fix it:guilty:

As long as you've got upnp enabled on the router, and upnp enabled in the ps3's network settings, it should be all G.

Then you can go into port forwarding if you still get issues.

Ok, im sick of this stupid technical jargin stopping me from GT5. Last thing that tried doing that was quickly dumped (dont ask what it was). If anyone can help me with this i would greatly appreciate it. I thank everyone for the help they've given me thus far but i still have the same problem

According to my router...
UPNP : ON
DMZ: xx.xx.xx.04

According to my PS3...
UPNP: Not Available
IP Adress: xx.xx.xx.04

I know F... all about opening ports and the such and need an easy solution ASAP (preferably a free one) Sorry for hijacking the topic but this BS is hijacking my control over what i want to do with my GT Life...

Ok, either i am a total techno-tard, my router is a POS, my PS3 hates my router or your website is trash, because i am still getting Nat type three and no UPNP.

I tried setting up a static IP address, but got nowhere as their write up was for a previous version of Mac firmware...

I might just have to call someone who can physically come to my house and fix the problem, making me look like a total tool...

EDIT: Now after all this tinkering my PS3 doesn't find the internet at all. I'm going to bed, hopefully when i wake up everything would have some how fixed itself...
