Sorry to be a bit off topic but,

Is this Ford 200ci inline 6 related to Fords 250ci inline 6? That is still being used in a modified form by Ford Australia in the Falcon/Territory range.

?

I dont get what you mean.

I never rushed to ask a question, I was just taking guesses. Isnt that part of the fun? If it was all serious, then I guess I wont be replying here anymore.

I was referring to post # 200 (I thought it was a question when I read it, but upon reading it again, I appear to be mistaken). My apologies.

Just a quick easy one because I'm heading out soon.

Which French car manufacturer experimented with rotary engines in the late 60s/early 70s and the car which resulted from this?

I know NSU and Citreon had a joint venture into rotarys, but the NSU Ro80 would be german so I guess its not that.

*EDIT* after doing some research, it wouldn't be the GZ Birotor made up from the NSU/Citroen joint venture Comobil company

Well done mate!

It was actually the GS Birotor (I'll bet that was only a typing mistake on your part though so I'll give it to you :P ) and it was produced and sold under the Citroen name but yes, it was the result of the NSU/Citroen partnership.

Well when I researched this Citroen/NSU partnership to see if any French models were made I was led to this site, which has it named either GS or GZ :)

What was the first car (and year) to offer passenger side air bag sold to the public?

Errr... 1995 Volvo something or other?

Hold up - do you mean a passenger-side airbag (1970s ish) or a passenger side-airbag?

Nope,

Actually I'm not 100% sure that my answer refers to woldwide (I think it is but not 100% sure), it might be just America only, so theres a clue

What was the first American car (and year) to offer passenger side air bag sold to the public?

Passenger-side airbag = Standard airbag on passenger's dashboard.

Passenger side-airbag = Airbag in side of car (door, roof or B-pillar), on passenger's side.

Famine
Passenger-side airbag = Standard airbag on passenger's dashboard.

Passenger side-airbag = Airbag in side of car (door, roof or B-pillar), on passenger's side.

Ah I didn't notice that potential confusion, I mean the "Passenger-side airbag = Standard airbag on passenger's dashboard."

 mercedes benz???

The S Class was first for lots of things. Airbags, ABS, i wouldn't be suprised if it was the first car with passenger airbags.
