you're right! it's the dry sump oiling system, and nobody said it had to be real new right? but my question was, which british car has it? do you know that or do you have to look it up :sly:

More than one

On the RX-7, if it's commonly thought to have more than 276hp, than it would have a much higher hp/ltr ratio... I guess it's not official, but even just having 280 would make it over 214, again becoming the highest

whahah!!!, I didn't say it couldn't be more than one, you know....i think you just look for too much serious stuff in the question...it was only meant for fun.....but now that it isn't funny: I meant the TVR Sagaris

I don't know if the SR3 Turbo should be counted as a production car either. A 25 car build run doesn't really seem to be a production run in an actual sense of the word. Besides, the car is just as much of a race car as the Dauer 962 LM Sport was, and even comes with cheater slicks.

Is someone going to post another question or shall we just carry on off topic?

If anyone wants carry on heres a new question:

Q) Which two companies/manufacturers were approached before BMW to supply the engine for the McLaren F1?

Mercedes and renault?

We listed the manufacturers able to make high-revving, large capacity, normally-asperated engines capable of 100bhp per litre. It was a short list - just Honda, BMW and Ferrari. For obvious reasons, Ferrari was a non-starter... so then there were two.
So Ferrari weren't approached so that just leaves Honda.

Aahhhh
Gordon Murray again
We talked to other manufacturers. Three were serious, Isuzu so serious they'd build us a 5.3litre V12 from scratch. But we badly needed a track record
So that'll be Honda and Isuzu then.

Name 3 different cars*, from 3 manufacturers, that all use the same 2946cc engine.

Any 3 cars. I'm not going to say, "no, that's not the car I was thinking of!"

You won't be able to Wiki this one...

Macca F1 prototype 'XP1' was destroyed by a test driver whilst testing in Nambia. What company did this guy work for?
