I wish i knew this glitch from the beginning. Regret the horrible indy grinding

I can come in last place and be level 40 before the end of today doing nothing while some clowns do the job for me

i do 4.0 laps in a stock GT-R. And 2.3 sec laps if i do burnouts in it. and its totaly standard(the one from recomended list).

What I think will be funny is if they fix it like Blizzard did with WOW back in july of 06

the fastest guys should always wait for the slower ones, so cash payout can be maxed out to far above 2.500.000

Same times here. I have to ask tho what tire's do you use? and how do you do the burnout way?
I have tried but damn it's hard.
I have seen/an been in rooms when people do it this way and its way quicker to do burnouts.

Spending so much time griding and glitching, how do you people have time to race? Still for the life of me I can't understand what you spend the money on.
I have 11mil, somewhere in the mid 300s on car count and I haven't done any grinding. I really don't understand.

It would actually be the other way around. More people will find out and glitch the hell out of this thing, until PD's online team decide to do something about it. Judging by this thread, people won't get sick of the credits and xp. They'll want more and more.

Some people is obsessed with this new thing.
In this thread i was "defending" this thing, but to be honest, personally i've done just two time, one just for trying like "wtf are this room with the title 2 millions in 20 minutes" (some minutes before my first post on the firt page) and the second one because there was a gt one in the ucd so...fast money or bye LOL
But then..stop, it's boring just like indy, even if you win more, you're driving in circle anyway lol
i've done much thing without tricks of any sort: lv 33 a spec, lv 25 b spec BEFORE remote stuff, an F2007, so, my post here in this topic was just my opinion, so much car, too expensive, no way to make money without grinding, and sometimes this..have killed the fun.
But i'm not gonna do this thing 557686797980 times because of that, it's boring.
Many players here are like me, but for others the situation is totally out of control, thats the real problem.
Of course online i can choose, but when i see 1000 rooms for that, well, it's a bad sign.
This is just my opinion, i'm not saying to others how to play this game.

I guess it could depend on what kind of cars you're buying. I'm buying nothing but race cars right now and many of them cost more than 1,000,000 credits, apart from the JGTC cars. So of course, I need millions and millions of credits to do it. The 11 mil you have or even 20 mil certainly isn't enough to get the majority of them.

What will you do when you have all the race cars you want? Serious question. I just don't understand the mentality, I clearly play differently than you.

Will you start collecting the rest of the race cars? Start collecting something else? Drive/race your cars for enjoyment? Why not drive your cars for enjoyment now, and slowly earn the money up, you can't race them all at once anyway.

Legitimately curious, not flaming. 👍

before the glitch it looked exactly the same just without the 61 glitch servers.

That makes NO sense, apart from in a pure literal sense.

The point is filtering OUT these silly SSR7 servers, if every list of one hundred rooms is half filled with SSR7 glitch servers we have to spend twice as much time searching for a room and go through twice as many lists.

How is that the same?

Because you want to level up quickly I have to spend more of my time searching. How is that not:

a) a direct affect on me and my gameplay?
b) hypocritical? You are after all using this glitch to save YOU time at a cost of MY time.

To be fair though, players can't take full responsibility. Human nature says people will always try to take advantage of any given loop hole (though you could have kept it in your own private lounges) but PD shouldn't have missed the possibility of this glitch. Missing the 'hole' itself is excusable but missing the placement of the stage markers enabling this quick 'lap' is daft.

Equally they or Sony should have a facility to report bugs so the resolution of issues is quicker. I can however see why they don't as judging by this forum most people would use the channel as an opportunity to critique rather than report.

Anyway, whatever, I have the new seasonals and GT Academy opened in the EU today so I can avoid online with no remorse until this is patched.

Well, yes, I do plan on racing with every single one of them.

But I honestly wouldn't be rubberbanding if there were more diffrent races or challenges. This is my main problem with GT5. I really don't have anything else to do but collect cars, and since race cars happen to be my favorite type and since that also involves cycling the endless UCD, I really have no other option than grinding. True, I can race online but it has to improve a lot for me to play it extensively. I'm waiting for matchmaking at least. It's a pain searching for a room and since some claim there is nothing but more and more rooms with people grinding SSR7, that honestly makes it harder to find a room that suits me. The only time I'm guaranteed a good race is if I filter the search for Nurburing but I'll eventually get tired of racing on the same track again and again.

Some french guys I was with were doing it and managed to complete all laps in under 10mins, they were handbrake turning in circles, I treid but had no luck doing that techniqe

explanation

Cool. It just seemed to me that lot of people in these types of threads just wanted all the cars so they could have them all. I wasn't sure if that was the point, or if people actually intend to use them afterwards.
In GT and Forza I usually have more money than I know what to do with, so I didn't quite understand. GT doesn't have many of the race cars I like, so that definitely changes my spending habits.

ted, just filter for a track you just feel good about racing, e.g. Grand Valley and you will get no, not a single ss7 track shown. in reality if i start a normal race, i always filter the results since i am not interested in tsukuba drift races, do i blame these people? no. if you spend more time looking for races, well thats the way your life goes, not mine. pd will patch this glitch anyway so...
its the same as if i would say that i wanna drive in daytona but filtering all these nascar races out is costing me time...
get real pal, live and let live. tolerance is not a sin.

and the 61 thing, ss7 has never been one of the most popular tracks in gt5, there have mostly been drag, top speed or tune races taken place. you will still find em without a problem, just get used to the idea that a new race type has appeared and that things right now have changed. things change mate.

I think you are throwing around emotive words, you have no idea how tolerant or accepting I may or may not be.

Regardless, why should I be tolerant and accepting when other people aren't be reasonable or tolerant themselves? I have to accept the way you play but how I play is unimportant?

With regards to the topic at hand, I know how filtering works but I don't want to race a specific track I like to race many. The quality of the room, the regs and the people racing are more important to me than the track (as I suspect it is for other people who simply like to race).

The point still stands though, I understand I can spend more time looking for a room, filtering differently etc but WHY should users - who want to use the lobby for what an online racing lobby is expressly for - be inconvenienced by people glitch grinding (sounds like an std!) when the glitchers have a perfectly good alternative (private lobbies).

Those people who just want to have a little fun racing now and then always seem to have to back down because of this "it's my game I can do what I like" argument.

For once it would be nice if the compromise wasn't one sided!

This is no different than the fact that I have to go through dozens of NASCAR lobbies and DRIFT CHAMPIONSHIP lobbies to find one that works for me...

Everything anyone does online has some affect on others... just being in a room fills a spot and might be the last spot which means someone else can't get in.

You have to recognize the diference between having an effect on your experience and trying to effect your experience. It's a lesson anyone who has lived in a city has had to learn with their neighbors.

BECAUSE it is just impossible to make private lobbies with lots of players for most people since no one would join if they are not invited. of all my 100 friends, about 30 play gt, about 5 are online when i play, but even if all 5 of them would join, ss7 is about making $$$ and you need more than 5 for excellent results. it is just impossible to change that fact, so you just have to accept it.

we dont need to hide away for your pleasure since what we do is racing 200 laps, driver against driver, to find out who the fastest is and make the best money gt5 has to offer. we drive races, this is what you have to understand. you dont get the big cash and xp if you finish last! what we do is part of what gt5 is and it is 100% legit. you dont like it? it really is your problem not mine.

you all better now

I would agree if there were the same proportions but as illustrated earlier in the thread the SSR7 rooms now dominate all other rooms.

You mentioned living in a city, anyone who has ever lived in close proximity with many neighbours will know that compromise is the key to harmonious living.

Extending this metaphor, if a new family (the SSR7 glitch) moved into the neighbourhood and immediately started using 60%+ of the communal resources I don't think many people would turn the other cheek.

Anyway, I'm about done with the discussion, it's quite obvious the majority position is held by the glitchers so it's more or less a waste of my time. Like I said it doesn't bother me all that much in the greater scheme of things.

I can wait until the glitch is fixed, plenty of things to do, people to see and places to go in the meantime.

I did this a couple of times last night - easiest 2 million credits I've earned (didn't come first in either of my attempts), but it is incredibly dull.

If anyone else wants to do it then meh, let them. I can think of better ways to spend my time (both in general and on the game!).

Some Notes for this glitch:

If you are using a wheel, UNPLUG your power cord from your wheel once you have it turned all the way to the right. This will stop the motors in the force feedback, yet still give you control.

You don't need anymore than 7 people to get the full pay outs and experience.

I totally agree with you man.......you may as well take the hint like me, and save your breath :D
Both you & i know PD ain't gonna put up with this **** for too much longer :(
I just feel sorry for all the "innocents" who will inevitably be caught up in any backlash from PD ;)

yeah, I'm just quaking in my boots for fear of PD's backlash :D :D

i found a room last night that was doing this, i could not find the place to do circles in lol so i just wandered around

even if you dont have a gtr you can use one in the recommended garage

definitely interesting how someone found this because it aint easy, to a point where it may have leaked from a gt5 graphic designer?

Blizzard and Bungie kicked some virtual butt with regards to glitchers. If you want something directly related to racing, Turn 10 banned accounts that glitched for credits.

Obviously XboxLive and Battle.net is a bit different than PSN, but I suspect they could still do things you wouldn't enjoy.

I'd LMFAO if PD started wielding the banhammer :D
