Well it looks nice but it's just another golf.

Might be heavier than a golf too.

Except it's an entirely different body style and drivetrain. I'm personally glad it's in the game, the standard Scirocco is there so why not add the hot version too? They've done it with plenty of other models in the game.

261bhp in a car that weighs 2,862lb/1,300 kg isn't what I'd call a 'tank' of any sort. It's not lacking in power either, for the job it does it's pretty quick! They look awesome too:

This is what I don't like about some DLC cars that come out, its EXACTLY the same as the Scirocco we already have in the game (you can even put the R bumpers on it) but with a bit more power

I really think Wolfe has it right, of course there is going to be the odd new car that comes out, I welcome them, but when we get a car that is pretty much already in the game it gets me annoyed a bit

I would love to see some old Euro hot hatchs bought into Games but until we get a European developer that's never going to happen as a lot of the cars we see from T10 are American cars and a lot of cars we see from PD are Japanese

And that's how you do DLC, folks. Not 15 cars that are already in the game but passed off as *new*.

Can't wait until next Tuesday. Wonder if this is a one time deal, it being released the first Tuesday of the month?

Can you really put the bumpers on it?! I didn't know that! If that's true then I retract my excitement about it, I'll just go do that instead!

You absolutely can.

However, the disappointment with the R making it into the game is nigh on useless as you literally don't have to buy the R. Just buy every other car, or specifically those you want.

How does that work? I thought the DLC cars came as 'packs'?

You can purchase the cars individually for, I think, 180MSP or something along those lines. You aren't tied to every car this time around. If you don't want the LP700-4 or the Bel-Air, simply purchase around them.

I'm unsure how it works if you've already purchased the Season Pass in regards to individual car costs, but you can do it regardless.

That's a brilliant idea, I'll be doing that then. Not many of the cars interest me enough to pay for them. I'm short on HDD space though so I might have to free some up.

Dare I say it? We didn't have to wait a year for our first DLC!!!

Here we go again...

I wish for once Turn10 wouldn't throw aside their automotive history book the moment they get the game out on shelves.

What?

All seem to be the correct model year, the R15++ raced at Sebring this year as the R18 wasn't ready.

Edit: Perhaps the Scirroco is the free car, hence why it's rather lackluster. Happy about the rest.👍

I think he's talking about most of the cars being new models that came out just recently.

Dunno, I like the pack. Season Pass for the win, so I'm getting it, anyways

So, let's see:

2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
Hell yes!

2012 Aston Martin Virage
Well... it's okay, I guess.

2011 #2 Audi Sport Team Joest R15++ TDI
Finally a rival to the new Peugot LMP1 cars! Makes me twice as happy since I'm rooting for Audi during every year's Le Mans :D

2011 Audi RS3 Sportback
About time we got an A3/S3 variant of sorts. Been lacking for a while now, and the RS3 is definitely nice.

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
That one, I don't care about, sorry.

2012 Dodge Charger SRT8
A nice way to complement the Mustang and the Camaro. Always found the Charger currently in the game pretty lacking.

2011 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione F458 Italia
A replacement for the 430, I like!

2013 Ford Focus ST
Meh... A new toy to swap a RWD drive train into, maybe...

1992 GMC Typhoon
I prefer the Syclone, but this one is also nice. Got the pair together, now

2011 Volkswagen Scirocco R
Dunno. I always liked the Golf better, so it's meh at best.

Overall, decent pack, I think. Five out of ten interest me, which is, again, decent.

Thats what I will be doing. Just picking and chosing the cars I want. 57 Bel Air for sure. Maybe even the Typhoon. Tempted to get the 2012 Charger. Much better looking design.

Yeah thats crazy how fast this DLC came out. 2 weeks? Sheesh I have hardly touched the game and DLC is already out.

It's still FWD and will feel no different than a slightly modded scirocco.
I can see why someone would be dissatisfied with the new car pack being mostly tuned models of currently available cars.

Mostly? Dunno, they're adding new model years here and there. That's hardly the same as 'tuned versions of available cars', is it?

In fact, the Scirocco seems to be the only car that would qualify for that. The R15++ would already be strething that a lot.

2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 = Nice !

2012 Aston Martin Virage = Yawn all of them look identical

2011 #2 Audi Sport Team Joest R15++ TDI = Just a new livery version of the same car - shouldn't be allowed in DLC.

2011 Audi RS3 Sportback = Nice !

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air = Nice !

2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 = Not excited by this at all.

2011 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione F458 Italia = Just a new livery version of the same car - shouldn't be allowed in DLC.

2013 Ford Focus ST = No surprise but nice anyway !

1992 GMC Typhoon = Really?

2011 Volkswagen Scirocco R = Another big heavy VW/Tank with lack of power or anything special IMO.

Sorry for the negativity for the most part but I excpected a better selection.

[Redacted]

I for one, like the rest of us, am excited about this one. Now, I really want a 360 and Forza 4. I don't think there's a dull car there. The dullest one in my opinion is the Focus but it's the 2013 Focus, so that implies that other 2013 cars might appear like the 2013 Viper and 2013 Tesla Model S.

My opinions:

2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 - Awesome! The Aventador looks like a true Lamborghini and reminds me of the Diablo.

2012 Aston Martin Virage - It's hard to wrong with Aston Martin. This one is no exception.

2011 #2 Audi Sport Team Joest R15++ TDI - Interesting that they're adding another R15 instead of the R18. But...isn't there a rule with Audi that says that current race cars can't be used in games or something?

2011 Audi RS3 Sportback - I love Audis. 👍 for this one.

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air - Awesome! One of the best Chevys ever.

2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 - Finally! Will be buying this one over the crappy 2006 Charger.

2011 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione F458 Italia - YAY! I was expecting this to be on the discs, but second DLC pack is fine.

2013 Ford Focus ST - Because this car is 2013 model, it means a lot more than a normal car would. There are a few 2013 models in the works that would be awesome in the game. Cars like the 2013 Tesla Model S or the 2012/2013 Dodge Viper or the 2013 Mazda RX-9, 2013 Corvette Stingray, 2013 and possibly the Nissan GT-R (R36) and the 390Z (Z35).

1992 GMC Typhoon - The Syclone's better half, if you will. This the first commercially available High performance SUV. It paved the way for others like the Shelby Durango, Porsche Cheyenne and Jeep SRT8. Any car with historical importance is an excellent addition in my book.

2011 Volkswagen Scirocco R - VW's are awesome. Scirocco is fun to say. So...awesome car.

The fact that they are adding the Typhoon and Focus ST just made this the best racing game I own. I have always wanted a game with a Typhoon in it and Forza delivers. The ST is just cool because I should be able to make it look vaguely similar to my own car.

An OK pack. The Aventador and 458 GT2 are the interesting cars here imo. Might get the rest just to have more cars to choose from. But the Scirocco R is not something I'd pay extra for. Waste of space imo.

I don't like the per car price but I guess the fans wanted that. I'd rather have 10 cars for 1 low price than 1 car for a relatively decent price. PD got big flack when they first announced their original model for GT which was just this... pay per car/track. Guess it's the world we live in today

There are three options here:

1. You purchase only the cars you want. Which I believe is non-inclusive of persons owning the Season Pass.

2. You purchase the Season Pass and save more than you would purchasing each DLC by itself on a monthly basis, up until April of 2012.

3. You purchase the entire pack.

What's there to complain or even grunt about?

Pretty much all of them interest me. I'm also chuffed two of the cars I expected to be in there, are (Focus and RS3).

Pretty much everything but the RS3 appeals to me, so its making my Season Pass purchase make sense.

The Bel Air, Focus, Italia and Aston are the major draws for me.

Scaff

Yay for the Lambo, Aston, Charger, Bel Air, Focus and Typhoon. Couldn't care less about the race cars, VW or the RS3 though.

A 1957 Bel Air... cool. Have never seen something like this in a racing game. It will have to handle like a boat but still cool. Just will need something from the same era for relative competition.

Even if I only like one or two cars from each DLC, the Season Pass will be worth it to me.

I think it's a great pack, though I don't see what all the fuss is about with the Bel Air. Sure, it's a classic in it's own right, but seems like just another gimmick car with no performance value. Charger will be great fun, R15 will be another one I can't afford, thrilled about the Aventador. Thankfully they are coming soon enough that I can still use DLC cars in career mode. In FM3, they were strictly for online and painting value.

I quite like the DLC. The Aventador and the Audi RS3 are my favourites. Still this 2011 #2 Audi Sport Team Joest R15++ TDI and 2011 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione F458 Italia could be replaced by others. But overall, very nice DLC.

...

You just answered your own question. It's a classic! We have plenty of performance cars to chose from and this type of car is very rare to be seen and driven virtually (I have never seen this type of car in a game). I myself think it will be a riot to drive this tank and maybe fun with some hotrodding. It's just for a unique experience.

With that said, I am surprised on the interest in the Typhoon- a truck??? And a pretty low quality truck at that - had a S10 back in the day. But I understand the Typhoon was fairly quick for a truck. To each their own.

The Typhoon was faster then some Ferrari's of its day and up until a few years ago it was the fastest production SUV ever made. They are also extremely rare and one in good condition can easily fetch $20,000.
