I really need to get the speed 12, but at the moment I'm in love with my 787B, and the Speed 12 can't be better than a 787B can it?

Get one and you'll know why its better than a 787b. The 787b its just unbearable to look at anyways.... :yuck:  .

Famine
No, it doesn't.

This method - and many other - have been tested out (scientifically) and proven to give no significant alteration in the ratio of cars won.

I'm pleased that you believe that it works for you. But it doesn't actually work.

Its been proven. I do it all the time hoping to get a car and never does it until I leave the room... which is about after 5 trys....

Its completely random. Any random idiot could figure that out. pfft.... random.

Souther I have to agree with you that the speed 12 does look better than the 787B
but the 787B seems unbeatable by any car other than an F1. How can the speed 12 be better?

maybe I just do need to get one to know

If you get used to driving teh Speed 12, And know its braking points, the radius it turns - it can be faster if you use the power of the car has correctly. If you use it to just straight out the 787B, you won't get far.

But yes, the Speed 12 is a 2001 car, the 787B is a 1991 LeMans car..

It's better because It's more fun to drive, and it's engine won't drive you insane.

Its the wheel wells that drive me insane. They are too big.

Okay, thanks darin for clearing that up, now the only thing left to do is get one

👍 no problem.

Tryed racing 7 times and still didn't get it. :indiff:

yeah thats about how many times it took for me to get it.
i just won the first 4 races and saved it, then quit during the last race (10laps of the test course.. no thanks). if you dont get it then reload your save game file (it should load up from the end of the 4th race) then quit during the last race again. and keep repeating the process.. (pretty much what live4speed said)

If you more than 6 points ahead of second in the series then just get into first by any means and then quite the race, the car that should get 10 points for winning will only get 6 for winning instead. Other than that, re-do the seires, it's better than re-doing that race another 5 times.

No - you can win a 5 race series and only win one race.

Player: 1st x 1, 2nd x 4 = 34pt
AI 1: 1st x 1, 2nd x 1, 3rd x 1, 4th x 1, 5th x 1 = 25pt
AI 2: 1st x 1, 3rd x 1, 4th x 1, 5th x 1, 6th x 1 = 20pt
AI 3: 1st x 1, 3rd x 1, 4th x 1, 5th x 1, 6th x 1 = 20pt
AI 4: 1st x 1, 3rd x 1, 4th x 1, 5th x 1, 6th x 1 = 20pt
AI 5: 3rd x 1, 4th x 1, 5th x 1, 6th x 2 = 11pt

(1st = 10pt; 2nd = 6pt; 3rd = 4pt; 4th = 3pt; 5th = 2pt; 6th = 1pt)

In my game a win = 10 points.
2nd = 6 points.
(1x10)+(4x6)= 34.
Total points for 5 race series is.
(10x5)+(5x6)+(5x4)+(5x3)+(5x2) +(5x1) = 130 in total.
Famine your totals add up to 124? What gives ?

It's 2 in the morning. :D

I'll recalculate - I think it's possible without winning ANY races... :D

:D

Anyway, you CAN win with no race wins...

Player: 2nd x 5 = 30pt
AI 1: 1st x 1, 3rd x 1, 4th x 1, 5th x 1, 6th x 1 = 20pt
AI 2: 1st x 1, 3rd x 1, 4th x 1, 5th x 1, 6th x 1 = 20pt
AI 3: 1st x 1, 3rd x 1, 4th x 1, 5th x 1, 6th x 1 = 20pt
AI 4: 1st x 1, 3rd x 1, 4th x 1, 5th x 1, 6th x 1 = 20pt
AI 5: 1st x 1, 3rd x 1, 4th x 1, 5th x 1, 6th x 1 = 20pt

(1st = 10pt; 2nd = 6pt; 3rd = 4pt; 4th = 3pt; 5th = 2pt; 6th = 1pt)

Can be hard to get the AI to cooperate with your plans. Sometimes the AI have 2 the same colour which can make things harder.
You would have to be running a standard car in this event to even think about coming second.
Good to see your minds back on the job.

Yeah except in a lot of races the same AI car is always ahead of the others. So your scenario doesn't apply most of the time, since you would have 34 points, but each time you lose and come in 2nd, the same AI car is beating you and coming in 1st every time. Only rarely do various AIs win the races in a series.

Indeed - the above two scenarios are very unlikely and requiring of coincidences. However, I will sometimes engineer race results on purpose. It would be quite tricky to do it, but if someone wants me to that bad, I'll see if I can do it.
