Thats the FD3S "Spirited", the last production RX-7.

A good buddy of mine has the only one in Hong Kong.
Its a Spirited model? I thought it was a RS as well. I thought Spirited models (Spirit A and Spirit B) were gray and had different wheels.

News to me. There's an RX-7 Body Shop a few miles away. I pass by it every once in a while. I can't believe I never stopped there.

I've noticed that the spoilers do look a bit wierd on some cars, but I guess it's because they're "one size fits all". I don't mind it though.

Yep, Like i said before all the spoilers are F1 sized

I've seen a smaller on on a Cappucino. It looked smaller in the pic anyway.

One of the available colours was the Metallic Grey, as shown in the pic. But I think the rims are kinda different.

I havn't heard of anyone having Spirit A's outside of Japan/HK

Isn't it a Spirit R anyway, they were the last RX-7's built.

Aha, the Spirit R type A or B, too many different models of Japanese cars if you ask me, thought here was only the Spirit R, not two versions of it :).

Some RX-7 Spirit R Info if you're interested:

Type A: 2-Seater 5 Speed Manual - 280ps
Type B: 4-Seater 5 Speed Manual - 280ps
Type B: 4-Seater 4 Speed Auto - 255ps (wtf? )

Full Bilstein Suspension: Type A / Type B
Recaro Seats: Type A
Some Fake-ass Red Recaro Look-alike seats: Type B / Type C

The "DNA" of a Ruf automobile is that of a porsche. "Ruf" so heavily modifies each porsche part or completley replaces them... to the point that porsche delearships wont stand behind the work come warranty time....thus Ruf became a manufacter as have other german tuning companys that do complete "tear-down" and "Build-up" modifications to stock factory cars......Alpina "BMW" is considered a seperate manufacture of BMW's because they do extreme modifications to the cars.....Brabus as well with "Mercedes"

Because some of the threads i read is so large, can someone tell me the wing types in gt4? Is there only GT type wings or are there wings like on WRC cars, etc. to chose from?

All true, Ruf does Build New cars also, They are based oviously from Porches but they are 100% Rufs!!!

Ruf is an Ruf in the same way a Seat is a Seat and not a Volkswagon. Why do people not get that. The Porsche parts in an Ruf never become part of a Porsche, Ruf takes them straight off the the prodction line hence they never become part of anything for Ruf to tune. It's the same as when Rover take the Chassis and engine from Tata to use in their City Rover it's still a damn Rover.

Ruf buys there Engine blocks from Porche? All of them, Most Porche owners can't afford a real Ruf is the reason that 95% of them are upgraded porches, Ruf also don't Build a lot of cars, Only a few! Ruf is a Ruf with a Porche Block!!!

PRufs

More than 70 percent of parts used to make RUFs are RUF parts, thus they are considered a manufacturer by the German government. They have individual VINs as well. Do people ever learn?

I see Ruf as a parallel to porsche not it's tuner. They both started off modifying beetles. This is the official websites explanation for why all their cars are based on Porsches.

"Alois Ruf's understanding of the strengths and inherent sporting characteristics of the Porsche 911 led to the company's concentration on this model as the platform for all of its future automotive developments. This proved to be a wise and successful choice and has become the backbone of Ruf production for the past thirty years."

Parallel...if only I'd thought to use that word :D

I'm in agreement with you. I don't see RUFs as upgraded Porsches, but rather as two different companies trying to reach the same goal through similar (but not identical) means.

Back to topic:

this option for wheels looks more as a option for bodykits (spoilers), because the wheel is not on the full picture!

There are no bodykits only wings, and as neither the four options focus on the wings, only the different types of wheels, it is clearly the wheel option menu.

What are the four options anyways? Street, Track, Dirt, and Snow/Ice?
