I'd like to hear peoples wishes for the car to be used in Las Vegas spot race challenge 1.01

Should be perfectly tricky because of the nasty lag and powerband.

Good idea R.J. you mean the high mileage version of this car right?
I don't know if the car is availeble as 10km/6mile special in PAL/NTSC

The powerband is tricky indeed.
I tested the car and got it sub 10 sec quite easily.

We will use the Mitsubishi GALANT 2.0 DOHC Turbo VR-4 '89 if no-one is against it 👍

By the way , what is that Cosmo , you talk about?

I request you to specify the full name of the car and the year it is made.

No arguments against using the 'cosmo' as car #2.

So here's the desision:


GT4 Spot Race Challenge: Las Vegas 1.01 is OFF


Once again we will be using 2 cars, you may choose to do just 1 if you wish:

Car #1 Mitsubishi GALANT 2.0 DOHC Turbo VR-4 '89 (buy it as used from the 80's car dealers)


Car #2 Mazda 110S (L10A) '67 (This car is awarded as prize for winning all races at Mazda> Club 'RE' )
(Pay attention that the car that we use is the L10A '67 not L10B '68 which comes with high mileage only)

Deadline for this challenge is November 18th 11:59 pm GMT

By the deadline all entrants need to submit their best time to me , link -->MadMax86. <-- link

And name the subject title as : GT4 SRC LV 1.01 entry
You can submit only once (I have limited space in my PM box :lol: )

Remember that the pm needs to include the car you used and the time you reached.

For example:

Mazda 110S (L10A) '67 -- 11.111
and
Mitsubishi GALANT 2.0 DOHC Turbo VR-4 '89 -- 10.000

All entrants can post their progress during the week, but by one desimal accurary only

for example: Car #1 -- 9.9

Sharing tips/setups is allowed , but it's not a must.
A user can share his/her setup if he/she chooses to do so.


If there is something that wasn't clear enought , feel free to ask me by visitor message thru my profile.

For the MTN Supra,would it alright to ask other tuners(another garage) for help,or even the tuner there going against?
 
It's just,I'm having problems with the car.I might reread Scaff's tuning guide.
 
Great news for MTN! I redid my tune from scratch, (which, mazdaman, only took half an hour including testing, so I know you can do it quick) and got 15 whole seconds faster without even pushing the car and having a few offs, my old 6:30 time was nearly perfect. Best of luck :mischievous:

Car Story:
This Car was built for MTN Pimped Out's Nurburgring Challenge between their garage and ours. This car, built off the 1997 MkIII Toyota Supra, can lap the 'Ring in just over 6 minutes in the hands of a skilled driver, earning it the title of Ringmeister.

@^:No NOS on the 'Ring and we're not doing 1/4mi.
