Hey guys, sorry it's been a while since I've last been on, but I had to get rid of my computer, so I'm typing this at the library.
I'll try to make a long story short, so here goes:
I ended up having to give back the SRT4. The dealer wanted a co-signer as a "backup", and I just couldn't find one. SO, I got the 200SX back and was figuring out what to do next. My mom had been having trouble with her 97 Contour and decided she was going to get rid of it and take over the payments on the 200sx so I could get something else. Sounded great to me. I ended up finding a 2000 Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 that had been lowered with Eibach springs, had a strut tower bar, and only 73k miles. It is in great shape.
Now, here is why the 200sx is dead. Five minutes from picking up the new car at the bank, my brother was driving the 200sx behind me as we merged onto the freeway into bumper to bumper traffic. A van pulled in front of me and slammed on the brakes. I stopped in time, my brother stopped in time behind me, but the guy behind him (94 Chevy Truck) did not. He hit the back of my brother in the 200sx doing 40+ mph, instantly totaling the car, which pushed my brother into me. (New car) So, right now the 200sx is sitting at the wrecking yard waiting an insurance inspection to comfirm that it is totaled, and I am still driving the Sentra around without a rear bumper cover and a bent bumper.
Good news is that the guy admitted he was not paying attention to the road when he hit my brother, making this totally his fault. My brother and I both were at a dead stop when he hit us, and both of us are ok. We don't plan on sueing any time soon, we just want the cars paid for.
As much as I wanted to get rid of the 200SX, I still loved that car.
If we can, were going to take the wheels, intake, battery and speakers out of the car this week. I would have kept the muffler too, but it is all bent to hell. 👎
