you have a mugen front bumper setup with all of those stickers?

Not my taste in cars, but if I saw it i wouldnt really consider it rice. overall i think it looks pretty nice.

too many decals. FWD cars do not need rear wings. Not a fan of carbon fiber hoods.

the wheels actually look good with the car. atleast they arent "20s".

I think it looks very nice. But thats not the stuff I care about. Whats under the hood?

PS: Since your Sparxxx's friend. What has he done to his RX?

Yea, that kid is stupid. He must think he's looking at a gem of a car.

Well most cars usually have an engine under the hood/bonnet.

I'm guessing it does.

If it was me the stickers and the wing would be out of the picture.

i was thinking the same. it would look much nicer if the decals and wing were gone. but it would still be a honda :(

Im currently driving an EX also. Considering if that were an EX at best, it would still only have 127hp and about 100ft-lb of torque. Ouch.

My mom always told me, if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing...

Myself always told me, if you've got something to say, say it.

So I just did.

"but it would still be a honda" My thoughts exactly. :)

Well, you never know. There are just so many 'RICE' civics out there you cant tell which ones are actually pretty good. He might have done an engine swap, maybe not. Thats the thing with some people and their cars, they only want to look fast and make the rest look bad...

I'm guessing stock engine, auto tranny and an air intake... typical riceboy car, if you ask me...

Why do an engine swap? It's still a Honda Civic, just with other parts...

Fred, you're probably right. Most all of the Civics I've seen with crap on them are autos. It's like the drivers don't know how to drive a stick, but they seem to know how to spend lots of money and, possibly inadvertently, look goofy, for lack of a nicer term.

The Civic, my young and uninformed friend, is a very good tuning platform. From hitting 9s on the drag strip, to conquering the Pikes Peak hillclimb, to winning AutoX and Road races, it's done it all. It's multipurpose, simple and cheap to modify... A bit like the 30's Ford Roadster.

It's got a double wishbone, 4 wheel independant suspension... the kind of stuff you'd find on an expensive sports car, in an econobox!

Go to an autocross, and check out how many Civics/CRXs/Integras (yup, they're based on the Civic platform) you'll see. They're very good race machines, if you tune them properly...

Of course, in most case, and especially with people as young as Mr.Sam, impressing the ladies is primordial... Which is why there are hundreds of fully decked out, vinyl covered, riced out, automatic Civics... Then again, not everyone's like that, and you'd be surprised at how many sleepers you can find, if you look closely. ;)

punk.

I know that hondas can be pretty quick (talking about road racing and autox, could give a **** about drag). But they are still FWD, and they still have no torque. Their motors lack character, and they just arent very fun to drive.

hondas are still hondas. a quick honda is just a quick honda. an econobox will always be an econobox. they will always be ugly, have a cheap ass interior, and basically be an econobox.

If I needed to make a spec racer with as little money as possible, I would probably consider a CRX. But I just dont want to be driving a POS like that around on the street.

I want a car to be fun to drive. RWD. Feel very tight. Have atleast a little torque, so it doesnt feel like it needs to be revved to hell just to get going. Be made with higher quality. blah blah bla.

If I want a sports car i will buy a sports car.

Bah, whatever. You're a BMW owner, what else could we expect from you...

I don't mind people doing up civics and making them look nice, but what I hate it people who do them up and think they're fast try to race everyone. Those are the dumb ones.

haha. My car was actually cheaper than most of these hondas. honda prices are rediculously inflated.

12k my friend, 12k.

BTW, im currently driving my sisters car. a 6th gen EX. its winter, and i will probably still daily drive it until i can sell it for a 240sx or e30 318is.

so i have experience with the hondas as well.

Then go buy a damn Fox Body 'Stang and stfu about Hondas.

I'm tired of seeing someone bash Hondas every 3 seconds. They have no torque...blah ****ing blah. Have you even ever driven a car with some real torque? My guess is no.

Lack character, aren't fun to drive, cheap interior? I don't think so.

My Civic is probably faster than anyone on this entire websites car.

Its almost faster than any production car. Unfortunately I dont have my old signature stating that my Civic once rattled off a 1/4 mile in 12.34 seconds @116mph.

Civics can be very fast cars. Mine handled very well also. I took it to an autocross when it was still pushing 250hp and I beat everyone there. I havent done much suspension work, other than taking off the CRX rear suspension and axle to get the nice rear disc brakes.

I am someone who KNOWS my Civic is(was) very fast. Am I dumb? I can drive around my city for hours and get in races with any car I see, and I KNOW I will spank who ever it is.

The bad thing, is that my car is no longer turbocharged because I experienced some trouble with the turbo itself. So, I am only pushing about 170hp with a moderately modified B16A (1.6L VTEC 160hp stock).

Currently I can beat any pre-2002 Mustang and run neck and neck with a Camaro SS. I can also beat things like pre-1997 Corvettes and RX-7's 300ZX's and Supras. I might even take an early 90's NSX.
