Hey fellow GT5'ers,

Quick question, if I've installed a Stage 1 engine tune on a car, is there any way of removing it (need to lower the BHP to be able to compete in a race with this car)???

Cheers.

Negative my friend. Once its on there, it cannot be removed. It does give you a warning that these can't be removed when you install it. Same as the weight reduction. :sly:

If you really like a car sometimes it's best to have two of them one have with tuning that can't be reversed and the other with stock weight and tuning that can be reversed.

Some people don't like duplicate cars, but I find it's the easiest solution to getting around the problem of tuning parts that can't be reversed.

Take this into consideration whenever you start to modify a car, but it's difficult, as no one knows what the specifications of the seasonal events will be. But it's a personal thing, some people max out their cars, other leave stock or some people have duplicates and do both, there's alot of variation.

Cheers for the replies guys!

If I have two versions of the one car (one with weight reduction and engine tune, the other left as standard), can I swap other parts between them such as suspension, tyres, exhaust and so on?

99.9% sure that once you buy and install a part or tyre for one car it can't be swapped to another car.

However, I haven't tried swapping parts so I may be wrong, but it's usually the case that once installed on one car, some parts can be change back to stock through ''settings'' option, but they can't be physically removed and put on another car.

This is correct 👍

You can't swap things between cars once installed, but most can be disabled (exhausts, LSDs etc).
