Just do what I do, don't practice properly and then pit with 2 laps to go because of fuel, because I had no idea how long it was going to last (time based racing means no lap count to work from when I haven't done any research on it).
Luckily for me, the 10 second penalty you get when pitting for fuel, plus the time lost pitting for fuel, still allowed me to keep my position, by 0.3s!

Was a stressful few minutes haha.

And there I was being all pleased I kept up with you for a while in the sprint race, not knowing that was your practice session for the main race.

I'm starting to fine tune the new wheel so this race is goin to be more learning than racing. One thing for sure I'm impressed with I have a ABS vibration active brake pedal in gts:cool:.

I am confused by fuel saving here. In the last 40 min race I finished with about 1.3 laps of fuel remaining with no fuel saving efforts required at all. However at St Croix I will need to be doing some serious fuel saving to not make a pit stop. Anyone else finding this?

Yes that's correct this track has a lot more corners so fuel and tyre wear are a lot stronger here.

Tonight's race is goin to be epic I'm thinking.

Its got a really nice flow in the M3. The main problem I have is with the sweeper before the back straight. Still no idea how you take that correctly.

Tbh I've done very little on this track but since changing wheels on Monday I'm having to learn and tune at the same time so I've been taking a nice smooth approach or at least trying .
I've spun more times than there are laps in 40mins :lol::lol:

GUYS I WANT TO MAKE CLEAR tonight we may have to reschedule as we are goin to fall on very low numbers. If everyone is happy I will move today's race to next wedensday. Then back date the rest. Sorry for any inconvenience. Will post and pm yous all in the next couple of hours to confirm this.

I will still open lobby tonight 20:30pm uk but if less than 10 drivers I'll schedule to next week.

I'll find out track positions soon as gts works again at my end it's gone well weird.

whiteflight1.
Here's the button box but found out it's not that at fault lol.

Awesome race again yesterday. Miscalculated my amount of fuel by 5 seconds, which resulted in slowing down on the mainstraight in the last 5 seconds of the race to avoid the extra lap... but I failed and crossed the finish line in the last second of the race and had to do the extra lap xD Allaloneatron who was driving right behind me had the same idea I think and also failed in slowing down enough so we both did the extra lap. Allaloneatron had more fuel and overtook me. Just like in Austria, I finished 0.1 sec behind him... My goal for the remaining races : finish in front of him, whatever happens :D

Thanks to everyone for the fantastic racing last night. I never imagined i would be at the front of the pack with learning of the new wheel package so I'm more than happy so far even tho somehow exited the race :lol:.

Yous were great to watch. I'm loving this close battling amongst us all.
Get prepared for interlargos now. now that should be exciting :)

Great racing, really had to stretch the fuel - i'd counted on doing only 14 laps, so having to pull out one extra meant an entire lap of fuel map 6. Made some stupid mistakes along the way, which completely ruled me out - also, both @WhiteFlight1 and @fastnloud30 had a pace i couldn't really match, while me and T5 seemed a bit closer. Interlagos will be great in the M3! :D

It seems like the fuel saving I did that meant you passed me, allowed me to get back past you on the last lap. We seemed to be 2 seconds from each other for pretty much the whole race.

I got pit maneuvered in Race one but Im over it now. :sly:
