Welcome, here you will find Forza Planet's stars in Top Gear's very own reasonably-priced car, the Kia Cee'd (Cee-apostrophe-d in Clarkson speak) and every week you will be able to sit back and get to know your fellow member here even better than you already do, unless like James May, you'll just carry about talking about absolutely nothing - in which case you'll probably be told to shut up.

Now, on to the specifics:

Stars

Right. Stars will be chosen at random for the first four or five, afterwards there will be a set criteria which our Stars must meet before being called about to do an interview and take a run around the Test Track. That criteria is, at the moment, only known to the organizers and will likely remain that way. We can't very well have people feigning interest, can we?

You have to be willing to share some information with your fellow members, if the very idea of that is already giving you hives then you probably shouldn't even be here, maybe a better place for you would be with the coveted chaps that admire (and likely worship) Morris Marina's. Of course you won't be chastised, nor will you be expected to answer the utmost personal of personal questions - just those that will allow us to familiarize ourselves with you, the star, better.

The audience, that's those of you who haven't been interviewed or even those of you who have been, are allowed to recommend someone whom you (they) think is worthy of a lap around the Test Track in the Cee'd. It mustn't be because the two of you shared a cup of tea and some crisps, it has to be worthwhile...someone whom you genuinely believe will be interesting.

The Interview

The interviews, right, every week the elected star will have to wade his or her way through a series of questions - questions that will allow the audience to get to know the star better, just as I've said before. Each interview given to each star will be almost entirely relative only to them. Yes, that does mean each and every interview you read here will be unique in it's own right and will almost certainly play to the star's own unique qualities... But, please, no forced humor because that's just going to make you look stupid and ridiculous and we very well can't have that, can we?

These, without a doubt, are going to be the best interviews...in the world.

The Lap

Stars will be required to run the Cee'd in the Top Gear Rivals section in Rivals Mode. The use of any aid besides ABS (used at the sole discretion of the star) is hereby prohibited, and you must use a manual transmission in the spirit of the actual challenge, however if you must, you can use the racing line as the track is rather confusing because it's so flat. Whether you use a wheel or controller is thus irrelevant but it is a good idea to make mention of what your controller is by PM'ing me once you've been elected.

Saving the Lap

You will be required to submit the entirety of your lap to your Storefront for proper review. There's a 35 or 45 minute cap so it'd be best if you ran redundant laps; as in if you feel you've messed up during your lap outings, restart the entire event and start over. This isn't the most tactful procedure but that will be ironed out as we move along - so don't worry too much about it right now.

The Cars

Wait, what do you mean "cars"? We're only supposed to be using the Cee-apostrophe-d, you stupid idiot...

It should be pointed out that there's still a bit of info I haven't covered yet.

Expect to see this up and running next week Sunday, or if we're lucky, I may even be able to begin this Sunday.

First person who goes "Why Sunday?" gets a 3-year vacation.

Why day before Monday
Hopefully i'll get my copy by then. This waiting is killing me

Why two days after Friday, Friday?

I'd volunteer to be the first one here, too but I don't think my wife would like me spending ~$300 for the honor.

I promise, if selected, to be more interesting than my GT5 SIARPC appearance.

How are replays going to work?

Banned. :P

You...I'll just edit some stuff and make you look like an internet (read: Facebook) terrorist.

TB, The Facebook Terrorist. "Oh noes. He deleted all of my Facebook BFF's, what ever will I do with myself?"

...I'm sorry, what were we talking about?

I promise, if selected, to be more interesting than my GT5 SIARPC appearance.

How are replays going to work?

That's one of the details I'm currently mulling over.

It's been pointed out to me that I should conduct the lap and interview on Wednesday and then post both (still mulling that over) here for you all to leer at on Sunday.

And as such this will begin next Wednesday.

Is this going to be a live event.
Could host a private lobby and spectate.

I'm interested T.

Replays can be save to storefront for piss taking. I mean constructive critism.

OP updated with some more info and a quaint little teaser.

More info will develop as the weekend progresses.

Hmm, I'd like to be a part of the super elite SIARC crew. Make me feel special, you know? Also, why Wednesday?

Never said I couldn't.

The festivities have officially begun. Watch for the interview coming along shortly.

Right. It is now time to put the first star in our reasonably-priced car; now my guest tonight has a fascination with cars made from plastic and tree bark, and mentions this place called "GTPlanet" - ladies and gentleman, zr1chris!

- So, Chris, if that's your real name, I hear you're the President of something called "FP Motorsports"? Tell us about that.

It's been a real honor to be Club President. We have a really great group of members as you know. It's a lot of fun working with my co-leaders (Soldier 95B, viLe styLe, and MuchoJimbo) to try and figure out ways for the club to improve and have a good time.

- ...And there's a Zed-R-1 in your avatar. Surely you know it's made from plastic and tree bark with an absolutely rubbish interior?

Yeah yeah... But it does have plenty of poowwwwaaaa.... oh yeah that's your line. :P

I actually really like the new interior in the latest model. You can't have the performance of a Ferrari for half the price without cutting some corners somewhere.

- How are you liking Forza Planet so far?

The new site is great. I can't wait for the full version with the news section and all. I'm glad to see pretty much the entire community from the Forza section from GTPlanet.net make it's way over here.

- Have you been a fan of Corvettes very long?

Iv'e always liked them but my love for Corvettes really started when the C5 came out in 1997. Iv'e been a huge fan ever since and they just keep getting better.

- Surely you know when Ed Cole, Zora Duntov, and Harley Earl were watching over the Corvette, it's features were a lot more..pristine and qualitative?

That may be true but I think Chevrolet has made some big strides as of late to bring those qualities back to the Corvette.

- A week since it's formal release, how are you liking Forza Motorsport 4?

I think the game is great. Luckily I haven't had the money glitch like everyone else... at least not yet. (Hopefully this doesn't jinx me.) The game has lived up to almost all of my expectations. Rivals has to be the most addicting part of it for me.

- Moving over a bit, what are you driving now?

2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT

2011-05-10150615.jpg

- Is it in the game? If so, have you done anything special to it?

No it's not in the game. I haven't done anything yet and don't plan to except maybe get the windows tinted. It's just a car to get me by until I can save enough for what I really want.... a Vette.

- Is there a Mrs. "zr1chris"?

Not yet. Hopefully someday.

- Right. On to the reason you're really here - your lap. How was it out there?

Not as bad as I would have thought initially. Could have been better though. Would have been epic if it were a “Star is a Fast Car” but I know that’s the Stig’s job to drive the fast cars.

- Was The Stig nice to you at all? He's been quite grouchy as of late because we haven't fed him.

He didn’t speak at all and just kept shaking his head with almost everything I did. I guess I need some more practice.

- Is there anything else you'd like to say before we have you carried away?

Shout out to FP Motorsports along with everyone at Forza Planet. See you all out on the track.

The lap is up on Chris' storefront. It's the only way to do things for the time being as I don't have a capture card, and making several 30-second clips and tying them together is NOT going to pan out well (Believe me. I've tried it with FM3).

And there's going to be a separate thread for the Lap Time Leaderboard, I'm going to send a PM Jordan's way and see if we can get a personalized Top Gear section because the things I've, or rather, we've got in mind extends so much further than this.
