I am beginning to notice, and I'm not sure whether it's connection related or not, that sometimes I can be hitting enemies and it doesn't register, like when I get a couple hits in on someone but they still have 100 health when they kill me. But more noticeably, fighting as rebels in Fighter Squadron, some human players only take a few hits from full health, others I can nail for a considerably longer time and they'll still be alive.
While on Fighter Squadron as well, it's easily my best mode where I normally finish 1st or 2nd on my team, but the Imperials are hopelessly outgunned here. The Rebel fighters with their shields are incredibly OP, most times an Imperial figher dies as soon as you get to the edge of the battle zone. I'd say that 90% of lobbies I'm in, the Rebels more than double the score of the Imperials.

I reached rank 50 the other day, still enjoying the game but it's getting a bit repetitive now. We really need server browsers on PC with custom rules etc otherwise this game will be dead soon. The thing that's killing it for me is the lack of team balance/scramble where the server should scramble the teams if one team is getting smashed every round. As it is now if you are on the losing team it could stay that way for hours...

Yeah that does kind of suck, if your team is getting hammered a couple times in a row it's time to leave the lobby.

I like that I can mindlessly slay rebel troops as Darth Vader while the game is downloading instead of waiting for it all to download at once. Makes it kinda fun.

By the way, is the Darth Vader PS4 theme restricted to players that bought a special edition or pre-ordered?

I edited the OP to include some more videos and slightly more information to help those who are on the fence decide on getting the game or not.

Alright, the bizarre flight controls are even more frustrating to play with than to watch. I die within 15 seconds of playing the X-Wing training mission. Seriously, this game needs proper controls like GTA V, with the camera locked to the vehicle.

You get used to it pretty quickly despite being arcadey.

:grumpy: In my opinion, it's harder to fly like that than with the more realistic controls.

Anyway, I love love LOVE the RT-97C. I suck at this game, but it's too much fun. Can't wait to unlock the jetpack.

By the way, what's that charge mechanic? Some cards that affect your primary weapon (less recoil, etc) require it. Can someone explain it to me? I kinda skipped through that explanation. Oops.

How do you get the funny spasm character action? I can't seem to find it.

Just play some fighter squadron and you'll get use to the controls very quickly. I went from rock bottom, to Poe Dameron in one game:cool:.

I'll *try* that tomorrow.

Is this game worth the $40 it is on PSN right now? What about the Special editions for $45 & $90

Which guns do you guys recommend using or leaving alone? I'm liking the RT-97C so far, but it can't do long range combat very well from what I've experienced. The CA-87 will definitely never get any use from me, since I'll probably die before I get a shot off at the enemy team. Apparently, the DL-44 is a beast, but I'm only at Rank 10, not 25.

I find the EE-3 to be very effective, good for close or long range. The DL-44 is good at close range only.

I have been using the DLT-19 for a few hours, and it's everything that I wanted in a rifle. High accuracy, damage, and firing rate. It feels more powerful than the default weapons, and it's much more controllable than the RT-97C, albeit with a slower firing rate.

In my opinion, this game could benefit from a spotting mechanic like in BF4 and a larger radar. If a squad of enemies runs past me and I can't get a shot off at any of them, I want to give my teammates a chance at surviving an ambush.

Same here. I actually didn't like the EE-3 in the beginning. Probably because it's a burst rifle and requires some time to get used to. That was until I couldn't find a good rifle for Turning Point and gave the EE-3 another try. I found it to be better than anything else once you get used to the burst style. The long range accuracy is outstanding and it still holds pretty well in short distance encounters as well if your fingers are fast enough.

I just had a look at my stats and these are the 3 weapons I got most kills with so far. EE-3 is in a league of its own :D
EE-3: 741
A280C: 415
Thermal Detonator: 335

Probably the T47 Airspeeder comes close to these in kill count, but unfortunately the stats don't show detailed counts of kills made in a vehicle.

I just wish the game had a proper photomode, with a real free cam. The cinema tool is neat, but it's really hard to get proper action shots.

Quick question: Is there anything special about the collectibles you can find on survival missions? My friend and I were scouting them out on Sullust and Hoth (Ultimately, I went on YouTube to find the last ones) and we wanted to know if they gave us an achievement, extra points, or unlocked something unique in the game.

I'm really enjoying the the Fighter Squadron game mode. I've been spending a good majority of my time there. Some of the dog fights get pretty intense, and once you learn the ins and outs it's very easy to our maneuver someone.

Tried Fighter Squadron. I got the average scores of most people on my team. Maybe 6 AI kills and 2 or 3 player kills. Got quite a bunch of hits on the enemy transports. Still wish they would implement proper flight controls and removed the auto-aim for everyone.

Also, I got to level 15 and bought the Scout trait. Do you really start at level one on your trait, and drop a level when you die? o_O

Agreed.

And yes.
