Tried Fighter Squadron. I got the average scores of most people on my team. Maybe 6 AI kills and 2 or 3 player kills. Got quite a bunch of hits on the enemy transports. Still wish they would implement proper flight controls and removed the auto-aim for everyone.

Also, I got to level 15 and bought the Scout trait. Do you really start at level one on your trait, and drop a level when you die? o_O

Did you keep the default flight controls by any chance?

Go into the options, swap the sticks and invert them, not perfect, but much better.
I'd love to see a "hardcore" mode without auto aim and locked cockpit view too.
It's a shame that you have such a huge disadvantage when using the cockpits, because they're fantastic.

Meanwhile, I'm kinda getting a clue on how to use the cinematic tool:

And with some Photoshop, you can create pretty cool artworks too:

This game looks absurdly good, I need to take a closer look at it once I'm back home from holidays.

One detail I love is the Executor-class Super Star Destroyer crashing into the planet when you play the Battle of Jakku. It looks insane, and the sound design is awesome.
I got distracted by that andwas watching it for a good while and ended up getting killed lol. The pad even vibrates.

At the start of one Turning Point round, I was on the rebel side. I retreated to the map border, hid behind some metal parts, and just watched the whole thing come down. Impressive animations.

We lost, though. :grumpy:

If you would have joined the fight, you could have turned the tides :p

Tried some more Fighter Squadron today and the FS mission as well. Got all the requirements on my second try, surprisingly. As for the multiplayer, I did alright. I like attacking the transport shuttles, since you can get quite a few points if you're being safe. It's just hard to focus on hitting it when you're balancing the throttle, trying to keep the shuttle level, and avoiding enemy missile locks. Also, on my radar, I can't see anything, which is annoying.

EDIT: How do I purchase more charge for my cards requiring them? I want to start using them, like Scan Pulse.

EDIT 2: Nevermind. They're right next to the card once you actually buy the card. Oops.

What I found a good bet is coming in sky high, as most often than not they expect you right behind the transport. I don't think the radar even works, as there are times when I'm in a dogfight and it won't even show the enemy I'm tailing, let alone any fighters around me.

For the longest time I was out of charge cards. Should be a pop up to let you know you can purchase more. At first I was under the impression that it was fresh every round.

Thanks @ImaRobot :)

How do we report cheaters in this game?
I came across a guy that kept using his Jump Pack as soon as he landed, and also kept reusing his Bowcaster within seconds of firing the first time. He could've had his Bounty Hunter Trait maxed out (Didn't look at his loadout), but he would've had to get the "Ability Recharge" powerup every single time. He ended the round at 52 and 9, compared to our team's leader at 35 and 17. I strongly believe he was cheating in this round.

Stumbled across this neat little video today. I love the minor details on the guns, like snowflakes sticking to the guns and then melting away.

The guy that created this also uploads videos of guns and reload animations in other shooter games.

As gorgeous as this game looks, I'm on the fence about it. 70 euros is bloody expensive for a PC game...

My advice: Wait until more content comes out and when the price drops. It's fun, but the experience is a little shallow. Only a few maps and game modes so far, but hopefully this will change in the near future.

Yeah if you don't have it yet wait until all the DLC packs release and then get everything at once. I've almost clocked up 100 hours so far so I'm happy with the purchase, I just hope they continue to support and tweak this game like they did with BF4. That game was a complete mess when it released, and now it's really good so hopefully Battlefront gets even better.

I'm still not sure if I will buy any of the DLC packs, and if I do I might just get them separately instead of dropping $60-$70 in one hit for content that hasn't even been made yet.

Has anyone used the CA-87 yet? Obviously it a useless gun at long range since it functions like a shotgun, but I did get killed by it a few times the other day. I completely forgot which map and gamemode we were playing, but those deaths stood out to me because I thought it would be outclassed by almost every rifle.

So guys, is it a good time to buy the game now or just skip it?
I tried the demo but i did not feel it was that woow like BF4. Of course, this might not be true that's why i need to pop the question to you guys.

Plz quote me if you want to reply. breathe on notification here :D
Thanks in advance.

I had a lot of fun with the shock blaster doing the challenge to get 75 kills with it. The trick is to play in tight spaces and use the jet pack to cover distance. If you have the flash bangs it can also help.

Here is the video I watched before I tried it.

How many kills do you need to get so your trait levels up? Is it different for all traits, or the same?

The one I use (Scout) is based on kill streaks I think, haven't tried any others so far.

I use that too.

Does anyone know when the next patch is coming? There are major balancing issues right now. DL-44 is way too powerful, especially since level one players can use it immediately if they bought the special edition. Second, the bowcaster + jump pack + bounty hunter level 3 combination is stupidly unfair. It's almost impossible to kill someone using that combo. Finally, maps need a rebalance. Walker Assault on Hoth is extremely imperial-sided, while Endor leans more towards the Rebels because of their outfits blending in with the environment and Imperials only having one AT-AT.

I'm truly having a great time on Blast (I guess you could say I'm having a blast on Blast), but the grenade spam and Homing Shot abuse is getting out of hand. I'll admit, I use the impact grenade on most of my loadouts. Still, the obnoxious amount of grenades being thrown everywhere at once is ridiculous. When friendly grenades go off nearby, my camera shakes too much to aim accurately at my target. Imploding grenades have a massive explosion radius that can go through walls; way too powerful for these close-quarters maps.

Also, if droids could be disabled in this gamemode, that would be greatly appreciated. I feel like all kills in this mode should be earned by players, not AI.

EDIT: On the last round I played, the top 3 people on the Imperial side were all using DL-44s. DICE, please nerf that cancerous gun.

Alright, question time:

Do the blasters on the X-Wings/TIE Figters automaticly lock on in...whatever the air combat game mode is? I've heard people say they do, but I start shooting at someone, and they still fire wherever I'm pointing, like a general free-aim. I don't mind having to actually aim to take a fighter down, but I swore I heard someone say they auto-locked onto fighters. For some reason it doesn't for me. I don't really understand how the system works, so that adds to my confusion.

Not that I mind having to aim to play, but it seems like I get blown out of the sky relativly quickly by...everybody else...

You should play the tutorial before hand :P The button used to lock on is the same button used to aim while being a foot soldier. They'll have to be within a certain distance to you, so keep that in mind. You'll notice it working when a red crosshair appears over them. You'll still have to aim though, and keep them somewhat centered to your reticule, but it's way better then trying to shoot them down without it.

Really? Wow, I think I played through the tutorial and singleplayer missions once through, I must have missed the prompt on aiming/locking on. NowI can be semi-compitent in a starfighter!

Thanks, mate!

No problem! :) Quick question, where you wondering why none of our missles would go on target?

Yep. That and it seemed like players primary cannons were targeting other players, at least that's what it looked like from videos I had watched.
